What is the go to semi permanent highseat these days?

I moved the shooting rail upright support bars from the rear of the seat to the front of the seat. It made a noticeable difference to stability, and the "depth" of the rail now makes more sense as you can rest your weight on it.
The height adjustment is a real faff though. I try to leave it friction tight as the adjustment knobs shear off.
The seat is 2 hours from home. I'll post a photo of the adjustment when I can
I did treat myself to 2 of the bushwear galvanised double seats. They are rock steady. I added a length of light d rail to the bare box section shooting rail to make a more comfortable shooting rail. I've had no luck with pipe lagging over the years - birds seem to find it makes excellent nest insulation!
You can cut the rail shorter and re-drill the 2 holes that fix it to the seat. It's just a u-shape and I think I hacked about 3" off each of the ends of mine. Took about 10 mins and makes a world of difference. I also have 2 secondary supports which go from a couple of existing holes in the ladder to 2 new holes in the rail. Made from the 2 pieces of an extending washing line pole. I use a wing nut on the ones through the rail so just disconnect that end when I move it. Rubbish photo but you get the idea.

But in the OPs position with access to a quad (and hopefully a trailer?) then Keith's all day long. I tend to leave the "seat" bit built and just drop the leg sections off for transport if I can get the quad up to it. Although might be a bit of a wait, he always seems really busy.
