Same year as mine and I’m in no rush to replace it.

That looks cracking. I can’t say it’s top of my list of priorities when deciding what truck to go for, but the Amarok looks good too (in my humble opinion of course...).

I had a 2013 Amarok for a month earlier this year after 4 years with an 07 Mk6 Hilux Invincible. It was the best pick up I’ve driven on road and having been slightly nervous over going to a 2.0 engine, the twin turbo and auto drive train were excellent. It was summer though and not tested off road.

However, It was wide though and wasn’t ideal down some of the lanes/rides. I’m not doing big miles on road at the moment and the daily commute is on a motorbike so I’ve gone back to a Hilux, but a 2012 this time and I’m much happier with that.
Higher ground clearance, less to go wrong (although more than my Mk6), and a more solid performer doing what a pick up should. If the balance shifts and I need it more as a car with occasional pick up benefits I may re consider the Amarok.

Any suggestions on pickups from experienced users.. I was tempted by a new shape Hilux, any known issues with these or any other manufacturers worthy of a look?

They got the name bud wouldn’t pull a scab off a rice pudding with that new engine I’ll stick to the 3.0
