What sound mod are people recommending for a 30-06?

Hi all
I need a new mod for my 30-06. It has a 1/2"UNF thread (a bit unusual probably for a .30 cal?). What would people currently recommend? Mostly want compact and light over squeezing every last db reduction. Not a massive fan of the wildcat evo. Not convinced on the need to be strippable if designed properly not to foul up.
Thanks.

I'm very pleased with Stalon Victor L on my 30-06: light, relatively compact, and does a reasonable job on the DB reduction.

Its its gotta be light, then its DPT or Freyr and Devik

Almost the only 2 reasonably easily available mods under 300gr. There is some DPT 30cal on guntrader I think.

Most others are 400gr upwards.

I can strongly recommend the Dpt moderators.
I have one I use on my 30-06 with a first stainless steel module and four normal modules.
It is strippable but I see no reason to, all I do, if I have been out in the rain, is to give it a squirt of WD40 and put it on the radiator for a while before putting it away.
I have stripped it after a 'range' session just to be nosy but have not seen anything worth worrying about.
I also have an F&D 280 magnum, haven't used that in anger yet but will probably only use that on my .308

I have a Stalon Victor L for my 25-06.
It is however back with GMK at the moment having developed a rattle in the baffles and you can not see through it.
Just as well it rattled!!
We will soon see how well Stalon stand by their products, it is a good mod when it is working.

I have a Freyr and Devik 280 on my .30-06, couldn’t recommend them highly enough! As for thread sizes, Ed at Edinburgh rifles is your man to speak to, if they make one he will have/order one

Thanks very much for all this guys. Think I'll be looking at DPT or Stalon then as the F&D looks a tad pricey for me!
