What wellies

My Le Chameau (vierzonaord I think) wellies have finally given up after 13 years.

I bought a pair of Musto ex demo wellies as replacements but they are so heavy compared to the Le Chameau's. So I am on the look out again.

I have heard that Le Chameaus are not as reliable as they were, so what are the alternatives? - they must be light and warm (neoprene lined preferably). They wont see too heavy use as I wear high calf boots when stalking and shooting but want something I can pull on quickly to walk the dog.

Jeez, they have gone up in price a good deal. More people are using them as they grow in popularity I presume. My standard Quatros are still going strong some 5+yrs later after some brutal use including serious spade work.

I think they were around the £60 mark back then. Very very good wellies.

I find Harkila Forrester have fantastic grip and ankle support. Been wearing mine for all sorts including highland trout fishing, shooting and stalking, very comfortable and with full length zipper easy to get off your feet...

I wear the Skellerup Sport wellies. Got them in agricultural merchant in Kelso for decent price a wee while ago. They might be a bit chunky for you.

Skellerup Quatro Lined High. I wear them more or less all year round on the property. They keep out the winter wet and the summer snakes.

I was pointed towards Skellerups on here, 2 years in same pair so far and with lots of abuse (including lots of salt water immersion) and they are still holding up fine, wish I bought them years ago rather than p1ssing around with other manufacturers offers.

I've been using and recommending Dunlop Purofort+ for the last 20 years or so. On my send pair as of 2 years ago. They are great value at c. £50, comfortable, and excellent grip.

I hate wellies and out of nessecity need them here in lakes I have tried cheap ones expensive ones and hated every pair except Seals. Got them 2 years ago and best I have had, I have even used of the fell and found them capable
