Where are the cormorants?

They justify the high cost of boat fishing for pike at Chew because they say pike eat trout, funny they have 300+ cormorants but don't charge the twitchers £5 a time to watch them. They say the cormorants dont eat trout, yet the standard joke is that at one time the trout caught on the Bristol Waters fisheries carried the BW trade mark ak a cormorants bill mark.

Good I would love to have the .223 on the club house and shoot them on the gravel banks in the summer, would be a lovely days varmitting.

Once again the do gooders are leading to the complete destruction of the rivers and lakes in the UK. Cotswold water park is neigh on devoid of silver fish, they even nest there.

First 3 appeared this morning just coming in to land as I arrived. They did 1/2 circle and aborted making off back over the flash. Not quite as lucky were the 2 mallard that didn't make off quick enough.

Got 2 to sort in the morning. Shame my new cz .17 hornet isn't with me yet but sure the .243 will cope. They turned up yesterday. And, before being asked, yes there is a NE licence and my FAC is suitably worded!

How easy was that to sort with NE for the use of various firearms? My FAC is conditioned for AOLQ, open ticket etc. but for the last 3 years NE would only permitt shotgun to be used. I had to put a strong case forward and jump through hoops for the .17 HMR this year. Used the angle of in humane and wounding too many with steel shot

Ok, spoke too soon, they have arrived. Since the other day when 3 had a sneaky look, I've been there at first light every day. Got the raised platform sorted so that I can shoot prone rifle from 25 feet up above them. Then this morning like a WW2 bombing mission 15 came in all at once.
They didn't get chance to start feeding before most of them realised leaving was their best option.
