Where do you live and play?

Been lucky to have lived and worked in some pretty remote places but found after a while it all becomes grass and taken for granted at the time which is odd really🤔

Be impressive up there on a warm still night looking across at the tiny lights and plenty of fox’s I would imagine.

We get our fair share of wild weather but the nice days and nights make up for it. There's a lot worse places to live and that I'm sure of!

Know what you mean but can honestly say had a trip into bradford and got lost was something of a shock to put it mildly.👍
Would say I felt safer in Brixton which by comparison was a nice friendly place 🤷🏽‍♂️

Oh, how far North is @Yukonmountainhunter!

@Mungo I live round 60.8 N. But sometimes range as far as 67N by truck, 69.5 by aircraft.

This is what fall on the tundra above the arctic circle looks like.

Not being funny.

There are a couple of folk on this site that I have not warmed to, (I suspect this lack of affection is both reciprocated and widespread).

We have different 'world views', they are wrong and I am right - you know the sort of thing.

You have been on here five minutes, and all you have done is post beautiful photographs...and I find myself not loving you...

It's not you, it's me. I know that. I am not proud of how you have made me feel about myself.

It's my problem. You live in one of the most beautiful, expansive parts of the world, and do what I dream of doing...that's all.

That's all it is...

I could say more, but Mrs.S62 is calling me.

She wants me to mow the lawn.

All nine yards of it...

We have different 'world views'

@Stalker1962 I have no issue with that. My intent was not to come to this site and "gloat" over where I live or deride other people's circumstances. People have expressed interest in my part of the world and I'm more than happy to show it off. If everyone liked it here the place would be vastly over crowded! :) I started this thread to draw out pic's of places people are happy to show off. My "view" of the UK countryside is pretty much shaped from re-runs of the BBC's "Escape to the Country". lol

I joined this site because I am interested in the UK hunting "scene". There are many fascinating and spectacular spaces where you live and I hope to be able to explore a big piece of it. I have a brother in law in Sheffield as well as niece and nephews, and while my wife and kids have visited the UK on several occasions my 3 trips to England have consisted of sitting in Heathrow waiting to go elsewhere. My wife and I are seriously considering spending some extended time in your part of the world.

Take my posts for what they are: a fellow hunter who's happy about where he lives and the opportunities at hand, but also interested in other peoples' perspective of their world.
