Where to buy sloe gin ?

Ideally looking for Gordon’s sloe gin, we used to buy it off Amazon but it seems we’ve reached our limit. They’ll no longer send it to us.
We’ve gone down the ‘get other people to buy it for us’. But that’s a faff.

Looking for a fair amount not just the odd bottle.

Any ideas or contacts on who we could buy from ?

Pretty much any of the high street supermarkets will deliver it to you via their grocery online orders. You may struggle if you order a large quantity in one go as most shop from the stock they have on the shelves on the delivery day but I know that you can place a 'bulk order' with Sainsbury's that gets sent to store directly for your order so guarantees it rather than relying on it being in stock at the time.

What sort of size order are you after & how frequently?

Try Waitrose. Better still would be to contact a traditional Wine merchant eg Tanners of Shrewsbury. Alternatively contact Henstone distillery in Oswestry. Will not be cheap but will be good and you could possibly open a trade account.

Hopefully a one off if it’s cheaper.
70/80 bottles.

Absolutely - make your own. It’s a piece of p!
Just find some sloes (and don’t tell anyone where they are) pick when ripe, freeze for a week or so and then defrost, prick or slice and then add to gin (or maybe not depending on your preferred approach!! 😉).

Takes c3mths to pull out the colour and flavour and whack through a fine muslin cloth /hop filter or coffee filter and bob is your mother’s brother!
80 bottles worth will take some doing, that's a lot of picking and pricking.

Depends on the size of the bottles, I guess!
Shop bought stuff isn’t a patch on homemade, but I guess if you need gallons you either need to plan well in advance or buy the commercial stuff.

Why don't you buy it from a wholesalers like booker or makro?

I've been to s few shoots that have their own brand that's made by them from sipsmith and Gordon's so may be worth looking at that?

That’s a lot of sloes to pick. 🙈

Looking at clickndrinks at the moment.
They seem about the best. Especially with 10% off with first order.
