Which thermal - Infiray Fh35r or Hik Micro condor

Mine came yesterday. Just opened it up seems decent quality, as others have said bit right handed but I'll work with that . See if I get a look later I've upgraded from early helion that's maybe 10 year old. I bought one cos see value in it , was thinking about one then dropped £200 over night was extra incentive to try one. Rapid delivery as well thanks

Seriously, at this price point, specification and features.... you cannot go wrong. I've had people reaching out globally asking me if the price is correct, as there own prices are double in other countries across the water..
 
I have ordered one. I was looking at and could afford the Telos XP50LRF but at that price I could not resist. Its also a more pocket friendly version. Vs the Condor? well a guarantee of an accurate range finder that works all the time and better battery life swung it for me regardless of the image which I think will be comparable ?. Lets hope I'm correct in my thinking..............
 
I had sit out last night with the infiray spotter, on base mag plenty of detail at all ranges. Rangefinder was spot on compared to my leica bins and out to nearly 1000 yards. Battery was below half out of the box and got nearly 2 1/2 hours and that was using Rangefinder fair bit. As a comparison had my rico 42 with me ,on 2x finder was better but on 4 power same as rico very similar but rico seems to punch above its stats. And one last bonus fits in my bino pouch same as helion did

See this is the problem. People tell you whatever they own, that it's the best ... this is exactly why, you don't take advice off the internet or facebook.. it's a minefield for buyers and ONLY the very select few people who have access to all these products can compare and give genuine feedback and THEN they have to be totally unbiased with it, because you can get led down any old path in there hands....

What I'm saying is be careful when deciding and what advice you take heed too... because it can be an expensive mistake OR you can spend more for no actual gain or reason....

Theres a lot of good thermals out there Pulsar, HikMicro, Infiray, Pixfra .... buy it and use it.... unless you own them all at the same time, it's unfair to give advice..

Value for money is the deciding factor for most of us when you buy your own kit , I could afford the top end gear but for what bit I do I've managed with old helion. Since getting thermal scope I've struggled a bit with ranges so was looking to upgrade to a spotter with rf capabilities . I do like pulsar gear but for Value for money this iray ticks the boxes

So what you are saying is don’t listen to anyone other than someone like yourself? Its not actually possible to gather up all the required products at one time to compare so most folk have to do it other ways.
With the greatest respect Ian, and i do mean that sincerly, the Iray has been out a fair while now and not once have i seen a post from you recommending it or even throwing it into a list of ones to look at until this latest offer.
Its not unfair to give people advice if you’ve gone through the process and done the research in buying your gear, done the comparisons and subsequently happy using it to good effect.
People commenting on their real world experiences for me have far more weight than people being given stuff to review and then posting it on their Youtube channel with a load of drivel about numbers etc.
 
Got my new FH35 V2 on Saturday and was out with it Sunday evening. So far, love it! I had an eye 3 before and the difference is staggering. I can’t do a comparison to lots of other thermals in the 1400-1800 prove mark. But I can say for £1400 the FH35 is going to do everything I ever need of it and more 👍🏻

The actual numbers and specification half the time are not worth the paper there written on....best to use the kit first hand, but its neigh on impossible for everyone to do that... No offence taken , in an ideal world everyone would have every model in a big box in various conditons and test themselves ..

Theres too many people who just tell everyone what they have is great or listen to some people on the likes of a facebook group and get sucked right into it, its mental.... Although I'm someone on the internet and giving advice, but at least I have everything at hand to give that advice and use it a lot, on the flip side, I'm selling products... I could be totally at it ! Trying to sell items.... you could put faith in me or just take it all with a pinch of salt ... but seriously it makes no difference to me, take them or leave them...

I just know a GENUINE bargain when I see one. Hence why I provided the product online and on here... everyones going to jump in and say there stuff's better and all the rest of it, thats a daily occurence... I'm an honest open person..maybe I waste my time sometimes even bothering replying on certain topics... its my passion so I can live with a bit of heated debate and opinion..

But there aint no denying.. £1399.99 is a cracking price :)
 
The reason why the FH35R v2 is being thrown in as a recommendation is because of its price point. It's a new low price point and so fits more budgets than it did before, specifically it's cheaper than the Condor counterpart by HIK and really by eye, most people won't see a difference in image quality, there is basically nothing in it regarding image.

A point above was made about real world experiences by individuals.. which is true however sometimes people have no idea what they are talking about and I've seen people state they see little difference in viewing between a 384 or 320 unit and a 640 unit... to me that says a huge amount about how qualified someone is to give advice about thermal. So individuals experiences can be taken with a pinch of salt in some cases.

I do agree with Ian here. Although eyes differ to person to person and naturally so will opinions, someone giving advice who's had real world side by side experience of all of the items in question, in varying environments, can give a good overview of the units.

Although I work in the trade, I do so in a part time home category. I don't however trade in new thermals though, maybe the occasional used one. I pay out my own money from a full time job for any thermal purchase I buy for use in stalking and foxing.. and I've been through a great deal of makes and models since the XQ30v lite by Pulsar in 2016, which is what I started with. So I love Pulsar and would always recommend Pulsar but as the only comparison Pulsar has to offer for these small units in 640 12um with 35mm lens is the Axion 2 XG35 lrf at £2599.95 and the Infiray is £1399.95.. I wouldn't pay another £1200 for the slight (in what I personally view as) better image for my eyes, it isn't worth it. Needless to say, as I'm not the biggest fan of high contrast HIK images, the infiray being further cheaper than the Condor, it's a no brainer.

I'm sure the same can be said for Ian, I know he likes his Pulsars but if a good value deal comes along, he will want to talk about it. As he has a wide range of thermal brands in stock, like many traders, I don't think it matters what unit he sells to who... the mark ups will be somewhat similar. I've followed his sales and discussions for a while and have bought a good few items from him before, I do believe he's just bluntly honest about products and not everyone is.
 
I’m looking for another thermal and looking through hik , it seems so much better than my pulsar xg35lrf , specially after the latest update from pulsar . Did think about buying the pulsar Telos lrf , would it be any better after owning xg I just don’t know , specially after looking through Hik

I had the same pulsar and the difference between that and the Condor is massive, especially when the condition are a bit misty.
