Whisky deals at ASDA

Excellent news.

The more that is sold down there the less there is to come up here to the land of proper whisky.

Don’t get too cocky, Morrisons have some cracking deals on single malts at the moment - Laphroaig Select at £23 for example. :tiphat:

Because of our silly licensing law, Scotland is usually excluded from the bargains. It's to prevent the 'cider' drinkers being tempted to over indulge..

Sorry but Penderyn do make quite excellent whisky, the Maderia finish is a joy to drink. Also they make excellent gin.

I often check the difference in price when in Scotland and apart from the relabelled paint stripper, all decent spirits seem to be the same price.
Typical bottle of whisky has 28 units so minimum £14 a bottle. Rarely get a bottle of single malt down here less than £20

My dram on offer in Tesco.. :thumb:

They don't have much of a selection in supermarkets. When are they going to start punting out 10 year old Ardbeg or Springbank at £25 a bottle?
