Well as usual the canadas are in post harvest and flighting over the house onto the stubbles
There is a white one among them. Haven’t got a good look yet Albino would be v rare

Leucistic just rare. I may have to shoot it to see

Many years ago a flock of greylag strayed too close to me. Their leader was nearly all white. Anxious to keep the strain pure I selected it as the one to go for. I managed a clean kill, and was really pleased with myself, until I went to cook it. The farmer said they crossed with his farmyard geese 20 years before, and I thoroughly believe it. I could not get a chainsaw to cut it, let alone a knife.

As you probably know. Shoot the ones at the back

Plenty of domestic fowl go feral I used to shoot several flight ponds in Cheshire we had a few notables over the years from pure white Aylesbury types to a 8lb mallard drake 😳

Likely a cross from a embden or other domestic. We have had all white as well as piebald show up - usually where there is a large resident urban/suburban population. We had one in the area that was blessed, all the local waterfowlers knew it and targeted it, and yet it always managed to slip away unscathed.

Make sure it’s not a swan😆.

Canada x Greylag hybrid in my local park.
