Who keeps all their heads?

I keep the first of each variety just sikka to go, then any interesting ones rest are given to people who've asked me for them, if not antler is used in priests knife handles etc.

I tend to keep everything, but then I don't have many so it's not hard to do this. Each one has a memory, very few were easy.

I have most of the ones I have shot barring a few which I gave to others. I now boil out and keep every one as a record of what came off which ground. Medals come in the house. Others go in the garage. Started doing much more stalking in the last couple of years and it is starting to show. No way would she let me have them all in the house!

Medals come around very rarely for me so just as well there is plenty garage space!

I,ve kept the half dozen bucks so far as those antlers are a pig too chew!!

I have kept all of mine (except those in velvet) as I find some satisfaction in preparing the skull, with the good ones adorning the walls of my man cave. I enjoy sitting back in my cave with a wee drink looking up at the walls reminiscing on the successful stalks of the past and thinking of those still to come. On the underside of each skull with a permanent marker I put the location and date that the deer was shot so when I depart (hopefully not anytime soon!) others will have some information about the skull.

I've been asked by SWMBO to get a nice red head for when we move, it will be going either in the kitchen or on the wall at the top of the stairs! Her idea not mine I've got a feeling there's going to be more than 1 though. I do wish I kept the head of the first roe I shot, only a for but I can look up at it and wonder where all my money goes
