Why do women do this?

What will be will be.

Until then look for an opportunity to see each others smile.... between cusses, scowls and rolling eyes 🙄.

😁

good morning.
I can see where you are both coming from and it's all about quality of life , that's it and nothing else.
I've read in some of your previous posts Marline is partial to a pie or two,I'm only down the road from you so if you want to pick a couple of pie's up to cheer her up give me a pm.
all the best phil.

Marlene some may disagree but being stuck in a hospital for me is hell.
As stated they are only given you Gaviscon then argee come home and rest and let FrenchieBoy take care of you for a change ?.
A loving home will be a fare better place to get better and both of you taken care and be happy.
P S FrenchieBoy as missed you even thou he will not say it. :old:

As many others know what it is like to be stuck in hospital against your will, armed with no money and only a phone with others refusing to collect you as it’s for your own good or so they think.
Hope escape plan goes well frenchie mine did👍

At last there is some really good news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I spoke to Marlene a short while ago and she has now tested NEGATIVE for Covid - And to add to that I have also just tested Negative also. That to the both of us is really great news!!!!!! 👍 👍 👍
On the other hand I simply can not work out how women can change their minds so often. Now that Marlene does not have this wretched Covid hanging over her head I asked her if she still wanted to sign herself out tomorrow and have me come and pick her up - She replied that would depend on what the consultant says regarding her operation and when she can expect it to happen now! I am honestly just as confused even more now than I was before! I can see her side of it - If she signs herself out she will go on the outpatients waiting list which might well be a lot longer than if she is on the inpatients waiting list. I believe that much of this indecision and confusion is down to the depression she is suffering from which was obviously added to by Covid.
However, whatever way she decides I will totally respect her decision and do all that I can to support her whatever she decides. I guess tomorrow will be the deciding factor!
All in all I am just so happy to hear her with a much happier ring in her voice and a more positive outlook on the entire situation, Marlene really did sound so much happier today and I can't say how much that means to me!

FrenchieBoy that is great news both of you have no covid so upwards and onwards for you both.
As for Marlene changing her mind we all know what females ARE LIKE
Say one thing and mean something different have you not learnt that over the years of being together. I still have not figured that out either after 30plus years.
You had better start the chores now .
All the best to both of you.

Hmmm.
I think you have just been done over FB! Clearly Marlene decided the house needs, ahem, “tidying” (though obviously it doesn’t) after her enforced absence so she told you she was coming home and you fell for it! Be warned this cunning ruse could happen again - you have been warned!
Glad to hear she’s on the mend old son - keep on cleaning!

You could be right there, I guess women can be a little cunning but what the heck. As I type this she is checking if it is OK for me to visit her this evening!

That's a big morale lift both being covid free , let's hope and pray its the start of a good trend 🤞🤞,, atvb for you you both 👍

At last some good news!
Marlene spoke with the consultant on Monday morning during "Doctor's rounds" and was very firm with then. She told them that she had questions for them that if they could not or would not answer her questions they should go straight away and prepare her self discharge papers. The Consultant (A very understanding lady) listened and said that she completely understood how Marlene felt. She promised that she would return on Monday afternoon/evening and give her all the answers she wanted and to please trust her.
On Monday evening just after I got there a doctor came in and said that he had some good news for Marlene! He told the both us us that a bed had been secured for Marlene and that she was going to be transferred to Wythenshaw Hospital within the next few days for her operation. OK that sounded like really good news as long as they stuck to it!
I was out yesterday afternoon when Marlene called me and told me that they were about to transfer her to Wythenshaw within the hour!
She is now settled in Wythenshaw and has been told that subject to a few basic blood tests etc and an ECG Marlene would be having her operation tomorrow (Thursday)
I am going to see her this afternoon with her brother and we hope to be able to find what approximate time Marlene will be having her operation so that I can be (If they allow it) in the recovery ward/room for when she comes round from the op so that the first face she sees will be mine (If that doesn't wake her up then nothing will ;)) !
Marlene has said that she is very worried about the operation (Which is to be accepted/expected) as both Marlene and I realize that it is not without risks, (all be it small ones) so I have done what I can to help ease her worries and will do the same when I see her this afternoon with her brother.
Now it is all down to the skilled hands of the surgeons and God tomorrow!

Good for her, putting her foot down with system.
All the best for Thursday and a speedy recovery.
I hope the skirtings will pass the white glove when she gets home!

I've just got back from my afternoon visit to Wythenshaw. Marlene is in good spirit and in a ward with three other ladies who all get on great together. They still have to do an ECG and a couple of basic/standard tests but she is up for the operation and being quite positive about it all. The op might go ahead tomorrow but it has to be said that it might not happen till Friday, but Marlene is OK with that knowing that it is going to happen very soon. They have explained everything that is going to happen during the op and have said that it could take anything from three hours to six hours.
On the whole Marlene is quite happy and ready for it now!
Thanks for all the well wishes guys! :tiphat:

I've been following your and Marlene's situation since the start back in June. It's good to hear that things are now going forward for you both. Pass on best wishes to Marlene, I'm sure the surgery will go well and that you will both enjoy the improvement in Marlene's health.
Don't let her try to rush the recovery after her surgery--slow and steady is the way forward.:thumb::tiphat:
