I need a torch for on top of a .243, does anyone use one of these or is there anything better available?
I need 100% recognition of target at 200yds

Sniper Hog light + adjustable rail is worth a look. 2 levels of power, reliable remote switch and facility to screw down to a very tight, intense beam. Build quality excellent.

Acebeam W10, lightest, most compact, furthest throwing, no spill. LEP: laser excited phosphor.

Acebeam L17 and modded E10 both get honourable mentions for LED lights

Another vote for sniper hog👍 Easy identification way past 200 yards! And you can adjust size off beam and power for brightness , great little lamp,I have one mounted on 243 and one with handle on for spotting

In which case many thanks to you all, wicked lights it is then !!!!
Next question, anyone have one for sale before I order one please ?
Cheers

We are talking white light not IR ?
Yes. Obviously it’s your choice but I wish I’d never brought the Wicked Light. Ended up giving it away in bits. Admittedly the recipient rebuilt it but shouldn’t have needed to. Use the Hog Light a lot when going ‘old school lamping’ not using thermal.

Did you not contact s/c regarding repair or exchange or refund of the wicked light ? I was thinking of getting a wicked because of the selectable colour

I reckon the dimmer is as important as the lamp power, no self respecting fox is going to stay around with a beam thats blinding it. Get one that dims all the way down, rather than stepped dimmers. You can pick eyes with a very low power, even when you wouldn't see the beam light up the ground at a few yards.

Whilst S/C are an ok company to deal with returns are not there strong point in my opinion and as I possibly didn’t help the Wicked Lights demise I just couldn’t be bothered with its return. Replaced by the Hog Light which is far better made...... I’ve not broken it yet so it
Must be well made.

So what do you recommend?

Is the hog light just white or dose it come with filters?
