Good evening all,

Rather than keeping an old thread alive (A stalking directory iPhone app??), we thought it would be a good idea to have our own thread where people can ask questions and find out more about WildTrackPro. I've attached a one-page overview of what it assists with, along with a screenshot of one of our existing locations and some outing information. Please also see below for an outline:

WildTrackPro (www.wildtrackpro.com) was developed to help automate the collection of stalking and squirrel control records, automatically drafting Deer Management Plans, Risk Assessments, filling out annual cull returns and grant monitoring forms. It also includes a built-in lone-worker safety monitoring system.

The data is gathered by texting in to a WildTrackPro ‘robot’ via WhatsApp (other systems can be used). It’s very easy to use, and doesn’t require anything specific to be downloaded by the end-user (assuming they already have WhatsApp).

You have stats, charts and map output for your own review.

With advanced access, you can log into the portal and let the system auto-complete various different forms, from cull returns to Deer Management Plans. This saves a considerable amount of time; the data is logged already and WildTrackPro will collate it and output it in the format needed.

Syndicates can use this in order to ensure that everyone's documentation is up to date and have all information in easily accessible, secure online storage. It will automatically send reminders to people when their various certificates (insurance, FAC, FAAW etc) are due to run out.

Outing overview (the red pins are the user's location, the blue are sightings. Local weather data is automatically gathered and logged) :

Please let us know if you have any questions or comments!

Kind regards,

The WTP team.

Hello all,

Well, we've been launched for a month now and have had some brilliant feedback from users so far. The system is very easy to use - you don't have to be glued to your phone when out and about.

Time spent creating Deer Management Plans is massively reduced, along with filling in the forms needed for WS1 & WS3 (annual cull returns) etc.

We also have a system whereby syndicates/management groups will be able to store members' documentation (FAC, insurance, DSC info, FAAW/EFAW etc) in one location, with automated reminders sent out in advance of renewal dates!

We can also offer a wide range of additional services, from thermal drone wildlife surveys to full training, as seen here - 🍃 WildTrackPro

Kind regards,

WildTrackPro.

Just found this thread and it looks interesting. I have previously used the My Forest app for similar purposes and am looking for a replacement.
Could you make a video showing the basic operation of the system and what happens with the data when you need to recover and collate it . Also can you clarify the difference between basic and advanced subscriptions as there is a twofold difference in cost as an individual.

Thanks for the reply. This video - - hopefully gives an overview regarding use of the system following a cull. It's the same for a sighting - pop your location into WhatsApp, followed by what you've seen and a direction (1 roe doe 200m S, for example) and that gets logged by the system. You can either add the WildTrackPro phone number to an existing WhatsApp group for a syndicate, or just message the number individually.

The information is available to view online, via any web browser. It's stored securely and you can share the information with people at your discretion.

The individual basic subscription is for members of a syndicate to be able to upload documents and to build a record of their stalking activity (efficiency, outings etc). The individual advanced subscription is for people who are especially focused on looking at and analysing data; it gives them the ability to really dive into the information generated, and also uses AI to create Deer Management Plans, fill out grant applications, night licence applications and monitoring forms etc.

Either the basic or the advanced subscription will be a great way to prove to an FEO/FLO that you've still got good reason for possession of an FAC when it comes around to renewal time - you'll easily be able to show outings over the last five years. In the next few days we're also adding a section to the portal where you can upload your night license and be automatically reminded when it's due to expire!

Good morning all,

By way of an update, I thought I’d mention some of the upcoming changes we’re making to WildTrackPro. Some of these have been user-requested - we’re always open to new ideas about how to make things easier for the end user!

  • Structure (eg highseat) QR codes – for information, inspections, outings and relocations.
  • Night Licence and Permission Slips/Cards added to Group & Admin Settings.
  • Vehicle registration number lookup (a WhatsApp service to check vehicles seen on ground).
  • Weather alerts & forecasts (a WhatsApp service)

These are just a snippet of what we’re working on for WildTrackPro. As we come from a software development background, coding changes is relatively easy for us to do!

If anyone would like to have a demo of the software working please send me a PM and I’ll arrange it - you won’t even have to leave home!

Kind regards,

The WildTrackPro team

Good afternoon all,

Please see below for the latest software update information for WildTrackPro:

  • Automatic Land Classification
Our proprietary AI is now trained to also automatically classify sites based on size, calculating overall area and acreage of woodland and arable land. This will also include water features and buildings/urban areas in the future. The screenshot below gives you an overview for what you'll see:

znclJWCJQTvzg-60UVMxS4xxr8eZT4LYHEH75zKZs9-iOk4gYlPjMmKj3ogwW9TzZpYBHB9LjQ8PYvrqVGAOOA9jo00tr5VismZSalrdNTmKmXg2y-Ygwn3eFs4n5iIOLumMBdNo0CYirOBUwER_bzo

  • Greater Software Stability
Significant speed improvements have been made to outbound messaging. Backup systems built into every feature of WildTrackPro, from payments to message reception, in order to provide greater redundancy within the software and give a more reliable service when on ground. Although this might sound small, it’s a fairly major change in terms of the ‘back end’ side of things and will provide for a smoother experience all round.

  • Cull Reporting
Multiple culls can now be recorded with one message, returning multiple, unique cull references. The chatbot will create a session for each of these culls individually.

  • Easier Damage Assessments, Structure reporting and Skills Test recording:
Instructional chatbots can now be called to walk through damage assessments, record skills tests and to login to, inspect and locate structures. This is done in part by scanning a QR code, as below:

  • General Changes
General user interface & user experience improvements based on end-user feedback.

  • Night Licences
Night licence forms and certification uploading will be made available from next week
Kind regards,

The WildTrackPro team.

Looks very interesting but for me there’s one very important concern/clarification:

Security of Client Data

K

If you have a look at their website, they are using Google's client data servers which are probably the most secure option aside from having your own servers and the associated costs + overheads.

I feel the concern is wider than security of servers etc. as when last checked I remain an “identifiable, living person” and therefore entitled to the ‘protection’ afforded by GDPR compliance, irrespective of my EU status.

In summary I warm to this offering but need to better understand WTP’s Policy around employee access to uploaded locations and cull data.

This is not just about the fear of losing stalking ground to individuals and/or Organisations who feel they offer a better service!

Klechblaize,

Each group has its own database.
(users belong to groups as do “sites” - i.e. if you set up yourself as a user you would likely set up your own group [or join someone else’s] then add sites to that group). Reports (recordable information) belong to a site -> which belongs to a group -> which has its own database.

Whilst super admins in the staff (the developers) can access the data in these separate databases they can not “visualise” the data without being granted group access. Should a staff member add themselves to your group - to visualise these data - it would show both in the audit trail and to you as a group administrator.

It’s difficult without showing what this looks like to explain; however, the simple answer is that usually for us to carry out bug fixes to a client account we require support staff adding as a user to that account (which is visible to the client).

Addition and deletion of data updates to your data is carried out automatically with no human intervention.

Our policy is simply that your data is your data - you can electively share those data with whomever you choose. Outside of sharing it is not displayed to anyone (without your permission). Staff are not allowed to access it without your permission.

Where “Alerts” have been created for emergencies using the lone working functionality “deemed permission” is applied (I.e. if you shout for help it’s not ignored)

You can delete data anytime upon request (and also automatically from the portal).

I hope that answers the question … but if you want something more specific please let me know.

Thanks. I’ll take any further clarifications off forum.

Hi all, we've created a YouTube channel for WildTrackPro so thought it would be a good chance to show you how to start an outing whilst using it. It's as simple as sending your location with WhatsApp's inbuilt location service and then sending 'On ground' as a message:

Good afternoon all,

WildTrackPro can also give you a weather forecast for your current, or future, location. All you do is type 'Get weather -' and then your chosen site reference. The AI chatbot will then respond with local weather data, including sunrise and sunset times.

Please see the below video for an example:

Good afternoon all,

Please see below for the latest rounds of updates for WildTrackPro:

Major Changes

· Users are now able to get links for the images they send through WhatsApp, letting them use these to populate the Cull database. This will be particularly useful when adding a photo of a carcass in the larder (etc) to the Cull database

o To do this, send an image to your normal WildTrackPro WhatsApp group and write ‘Get url’ in the text box. The WildTrackPro Responder phone number will respond with a url for the image.

· Multiple culls & chatbot – multiple culls can now be sent in from the same location. The culls chatbot will also automatically be activated when you send in a cull message. This video gives you an overview for how to interact with the chatbot:

· Users can also get the weather forecast for a particular site.

o To do this, type ‘Get weather – ‘ and then the site reference. For example, ‘Get weather – HLY001’ will get you the weather forecast for Helmsley.

· Fixed display problems with all Maps on the Portal so all data should be fully visible without any other parts of the page getting in the way.

· You can now select to view overlays individually instead of all at once.

· “Forgot Username” service added to help users who cannot remember any of their details.

· Users are now able to use a form on the Culls page to add a cull manually.

· A lot of instructions have been rewritten for greater clarity.

· Text recognition version xx. If you don’t put spaces into species/sex combinations, it will recognize them. So a Roebuck will be recognized as a Roe buck.

· Instructional videos are being uploaded to our YouTube channel to give you an overview for how to use the WhatsApp side of WildTrackPro. View the channel here - https://www.youtube.com/@wild_track_pro

Minor Changes

· Minor changes within the website and portal to better explain some of the functions.

· Loading animations have been added to the portal to give you a better idea of the timeframe for a particular request to be completed.

· Redundant instructions removed from the mobile version of the website.

· Upload Image in User Settings has been fixed and will no longer return a server error.

· Select date in Generate Advanced Reports changed from selecting a range to selecting a separate “From” and “To” date.

Planned Additions

· Instructions will be getting an overhaul to better articulate how to use the Portal and other services.

· The site/overlay/structure booking system is planned to appear at the next major update (1.2).

· General site speed upgrade will be live within 1-2 minor updates (1.1.3-1.1.4)

· Further chatbots are being added, primarily for helping with WS1 & WS3 grants, with WD2 & WD4 chatbots being added at a later date.

Next version

The next version to be released will be 1.1.3 and we expect that to be rolled out in a fortnight or so.

Kind regards,

The WildTrackPro team
