Will I benefit from an adjustable stock??

Yes but not that much.

I am a fan of prototyping. Get a bit of pipe insulation and tape. Bodge something up. If you find it helps spend some £££.

I think getting the ergonomics right is always beneficial, shotgun or rifle but for groups that size it is probably more about the steadiness off sticks than a repeatable head position for each shot.

These guys have an interesting approach at improving off sticks. Worth a watch

PM me a photo from a couple of different angles with the gun in a shooting position on the sticks and I'll give you a breakdown 👍 If you cannot attach to a PM, just PM an email address so that I can share my address

You can tape foam or pipe insulation to a stock to make it higher / longer and see what gives you a better eye picture and cheek weld. My understanding is that you are looking for the squidgy bit of your cheek to be bulged out around the cheek bone. If you find it helps I find Beartooth comb raisers work well. These are a stretchy fabric sleeve which you can incorporate different heights of riser.

I would say yes you'll definitely benefit from an adjustable stock, I just picked up a new Tikka t3x , as much as I could of messed about with bits of pipe lagging and tape etc ...I bought a kalix teknik adjustable cheekpiece and fitted...what a difference it makes,

What a palava 😂😂😂

Get an air rifle, practice with twin sticks using the right stance and it’ll serve you well for all normal circumstances. It’s quicker to deploy from all positions on all gradients in all types of cover, meaning less missed opportunities.

For the longer shots where you generally have more time, learn to use trees, fence posts, and a host of other supports that are often available.

Flat open ground, no other assistance, a place for quad sticks.

Other than that, feel the freedom of dumping the scaffolding and lasso 👍
