Winter Gloves

A pair of MOD leather gloves, with a bit of neatsfoot rubbed in. If its REALLY cold then a pair of thin polypropylene underneath.

Sub-arctic then mitts over with goretex outers. Realistically in that weather, stalking is the least of your issues.

My favourite gloves thats a wear all the time and are almost threadbare are musto polar tec fleece fingerless sailing gloves.

But alas like most excellent things, some bright spark discontinues them

I suffer cold, so do what I did in motor cycle days of old, I bought some, silk base layer gloves they just add that little bit of insulation to keep me comfortable in the high seat, remove the main glove on the trigger hand when about to shoot.

BC.

Ditto my snowbee hummledoddies (fingerless mitts) - great, and a neutral olive colour, also sadly now out of stock, down to my last threadbare three and a half pairs!

Chester Jeffies make excellent lined shooting gloves with a decent cuff length.

Buy British!

Laksen Zurich gloves are a good compromise on decent all round weather and temp performance while allowing enough dexterity to be able to operate safety and shoot without removal.

You would not submerge them in a bucket of water and leave them in there but they repel water and are warm enough for my needs. They also fit superbly well and do not have any noisy annoying velcro.

Another for Laksen - have a pair of Laksen Moscows that ive had for a while now.

Good dexterity, waterproof and relatively warm - have done at least three game seasons and there still going strong.

Mitts go over them when Im in a seat and its real cold.

I’ve a laksen jacket and it’s very good.
Gloves look good too actually albeit I’m liking the sound and feedback of the Hestra’s at the moment.
Very very good reviews all round.

I must be a tight ass. I use these. Plenty warm enough. I even pushed the boat out and bought two pairs incase I lose them or they get wet.
