If you are going to sell them then you need to be inletting the uprights for the steps and wiring the steps too.Would 150 be reasonable?
Far too cheap, don't sell yourself cheap as it is a lot of work/materials then all the other costs that get overlooked.Would 150 be reasonable?
How much are the metal ones ? Are they around the 300 mark? Give or take? There probably a lot more users friendly as well to set up and more hahaFar too cheap, don't sell yourself cheap as it is a lot of work/materials then all the other costs that get overlooked.
An hr in a big garage is a 100 quid.
By coincidence I was looking at these yesterday as I need a free standing seat to go in a location where there are no suitable trees. This style of seat is being made & sold by Devana for, I recall, just over £200 & it doesn't have wired or inlet rungs. It also appears to be made from dried but untreated internal grade timber so not sure how long it'd last in the elements? If you are going to sell them then you need to be inletting the uprights for the steps and wiring the steps too.
Also you have listed as free standing but the photo shows it strapped to a tree, are they stable enough free standing?
£150 would be reasonable for the time and materials.

I wouldn’t be buying one of those either then!By coincidence I was looking at these yesterday as I need a free standing seat to go in a location where there are no suitable trees. Am now contemplating sourcing the materials locally & making one myself - if you were closer to me I'd certainly be interested in one from you.
I did look at galvanised ones but those on the Devana website look a bit 'cheap' & the pics of the guy shooting from one doesn't look very good as far as dimensions & comfort go either!
I made one and the materials cost about thatWould 150 be reasonable?
That is way too cheap, I made one very similar to that (copied from a YouTube clip) used tanalised timber, with all the bolts and screws cost me around £100, that was a few years ago and its still going strong, lasting a lot longer than the metal ones, it even lasted being thrown down into a river by an anti, dragged it out with tractor, still rock solid.Would 150 be reasonable?
Very reasonable that palWould 150 be reasonable?
i would take one at 150 mateWould 150 be reasonable?
Not sure how the law works south or the border - but if no instructions are given to climb and someone climbs up something here they do so at their own risk…..if you can find one single case of a prosecution due to someone climbing a highseat off their own back and injuring themselves I would be very interested to see it.I very seriously advise the liability issues of a maker and the person who put it up there ! It doesn't even need to be the buyer who climbs it , a kid? trespasser? etc . Also the life of the timber and the joints .
Unless your stealing the timber and ancillaries £200 is way too little even making for friends. Need anymore discouragement go speak to an insurance broker about accident / Liability insurance.
