Bomag... you digress and condescend also. It seems to be a common thing on forums with some people. No offense intended back in return.
I'm afraid good lines do indeed make good cocker spaniels. Good trainers of working dogs don't necessarily make the lines better. The Dam has not worked. The Sire has.
So I actually take the opposite view of you in regards to working cocker spaniels. But then you don't know the facts other than on here, you digress and your a terrier owner?!?
Ok. So in your eyes the working cocker spaniel litter should be not docked and sold to city owners?!? Bomag thanks for joining my thread to 'welcome' me but you totally digress and I fear I would not respect your opinion now regarding the ownership of dogs and their wellbeing. Sorry if I feel to put this point across strongly but you seem to have posted purely to condescend with little knowledge (although some types of people would boast in a reply otherwise in only proving my point).
What have you actually added to this thread other than condescend? It reminds me of a fast show comedy sketch. The pompous rich man boasting how rich he is to the quieter strange at the hotel bar. When he tries to compare the size of one another's house the man at the bar states "which one, the house in Paris, the complex in L.A, the mansion in 'Surrey' or this Hotel of mine".
I do not mean to offend but put my point across strongly as your stereotypical reply offend me greatly as you can see.
I agree with the law banning docking for the sake of an aesthetic nature (which is why it was put in place).
This thread was not to open a debate! It was to introduce myself and why I am here. Any helpful comments appreciated of course.
