Zulus IR

I have moved the Zulus 5-20 mk1 onto the CZ527 .22 hornet recently but have found that the IR is off to the left hand side of the picture on screen. Is there any way to adjust where the centre of the IR lands . It was previously fine on the .22 rimfire.

Best to just back the IR off slightly to increase the flood, having it on full spot, is a bit of a lottery having it perfectly aligned with your zero posiition ...

Even on the flood it is right at the edge of the shine, Jelen how do you unscrew the IR
That's not good, miles out. On my Mk2 the IR can be changed from 850 to 940 by unscrewing the lamp to the left as you look from the front, it can be tight.
But, if yours is that far out I doubt you could centre it. Good luck

Yeh it was fine on the rimfire, I thought it might have been the mount like the old pard 008 but it’s all the one body so can’t shim anything. And the crosshairs aren’t miles off centre. Yep Bruce would have had the answer, sad loss.

Sounds like something has become un-seated. I can’t remember seeing any angle adjustment on the older models. I have the newest one now and definitely only zoom/no adjustment to the angle of the IR.

Yep, sounds like the unit has not been bore sighted on centered reticle to confirm or reconfirm necessary or unnecessary mount shimming.

Just asked a pal, on the dnt If your Zero is adjusted all the way to the right then the centre of the IR will be to the left.
Assuming no shimming has been done should be easy to see - what is the x value? From memory the range is 200 to minus 200 so plenty of adjustment if required…

I have 3 different Zulus and all of them have been the same, plus the beam is too low, needs to be set higher from the factory, i think the V2 is better.

The rifle was shooting inch groups at 100 yards it was the IR that was off to one side when scanning out to further distances. Hadn’t noticed it at rimfire ranges but as Pellet Pinger says being able to adjust the point of aim for the IR would be a good modification as the scope is so versatile it can go from an air rifle to a CF.

From memory the X value went up to 350 and the zero was 115 , even at 300 the crosshairs were still off to one side of teh beam.

Hmmm.
Unless you are shooting at really, like really long distances i have found the Zulus v1&2 does not need a pinpoint IR focus so maybe try panning the IR out a little and lower magnification - I have never felt the need to shoot above 7.5x…..
