I have an Arken version, a DNT V1 and a DNT V2 and one of them came new with an LED pill and it was fine for close quarters but useless at distance so aquired a VCSL world apart, also have a 950 VCSL as I noticed the rabbits were spooked by the 850

Yep. I found that too. The 850nm LED version ran out of steam after about 60yards!
