UKSHA follow up and strike site

A very good video from our friends in the Verein Hirschmann e.V.
Our dogs and handlers are trained and tested to these standards.
The Schweißhundprüfung/Vorprüfung is comprehensive and the first test a dog and handler must complete,it is all building blocks for the work we do,which is finding wounded animals and having sociable dogs.
A dog must be under 2 years old when passing it,judged by completely independent and recognised judges in Europe.
This is the beginning of the journey for our teams, only the beginning, this lays a very solid foundation.
All societies within the ISHV have similar tests. All at a very high standard.
All the best wayne

UKSHA were busy this weekend,we immensely enjoyed the hospitality of the BDS Highland Branch, thanks to all for the many varied questions and banter that we all had.
We really enjoyed ourselves,it was a privilege to impart some of what we have been taught.
This is an email from the Branch Chairman, very much appreciated.

Dear George, Wayne and Indy!
Thank you so much for delivering another outstanding presentation at the Highland Branch AGM and estate meet at Reay yesterday. As I am sure you noticed, everyone was hugely impressed with the dedication and professionalism of your organisation and it is great to be working alongside such committed fellow supporters of deer welfare. Do please let us know when you plan on doing the follow-on seminars and we will, of course, see you at Moy Game Fair before then.
Hope the journey back home went smoothly for all!
Kind regards,
Alistair Monkman
Chair, Highland Branch, BDS

Wayne will follow with photos and an explanation of the weekend, our other members were also busy at an event run by Jelen Deer Services,The Hampshire Stalkers Exhibition day, which was a great success, all in all a very productive weekend for UKSHA.

All the best

I have finally arrived home but would just like to thank firstly everyone within the BDS highlands branch for asking us back and also to David Allison, head stalker at the fabulous Reay estate for allowing us to use the estate for a small talk with demonstrations.
Also thanks to everyone helping to set up the day it was great, what i really enjoyed was David's talk on management of the estate and how much deer welfare was at the heart.
thank you to everyone who made us all welcome and asked many questions regarding how to follow up and finally track, we will look forward to seeing you again for further talks which looks like a busy year ahead. A very good turn out and a pleasure to show Indy working and with all the distraction it was good to see her put her nose down and carry on with the job at hand, thanks once again, Wayne.

Well done all. Another great outcome from a dedicated team. Outstanding service to the stalking community. Gaz

Very many thanks to Wayne & George from UKHSA for some excellent talks last night at our Stalkers' charity evening, a great effort.

Thanks again Nick for the invite and we really enjoyed talking to everyone, putting faces to names and helping people with advice on their dogs or tracking.
A very well organised event and one we are really looking forward to again next year.
Well done all who organised the event.
Alistairs humour at the auction was brilliant.
All the best
George

A big thank you to the Verein Hirschmann once again for the trust and full support shown in bestowing another HS to UKSHA.

Thekla Von der Wolfsgabel is home and settled in already, within one week, this is all down to the absolutely brilliant job Familie Bertes has done in socialising and making ready this pups building blocks for later in life.

Thekla is super-confident and full of raw, natural ability.

Wayne Rollinson is a very, very happy man and very motivated to pass Schweißhundprüfung and track with Thekla.

Manuela,Joachim and family,I know you are special people, however, what you have done to help UKSHA can never be underestimated.
Keeping 2 pups until 15 weeks old for rabies injections, not one but 2 pups within 9 months of each other.......I know I would struggle with this myself, this is a huge undertaking and a massive emotional bond with both dogs and handlers, during this time, the other 9 pups that you have cared for and bred at the same time....
One word.....unbelievable.

Thekla is the first HS in the UK with our UK number on the ISHV stamp,a special pup, with a special handler having been bred by very, very special people.

I am really looking forward to watching this team progress within our own team.
I am also amazed at how quickly she has settled into Waynes home.

Thekla has already an amazing ability at such a young age,Wayne and I have spoken at length in regard to the fact you cannot buy the reads that she gives whilst on a track,at such a young age, this will only improve with training and encouragement.

Wayne will continue to progress with Thekla in the way that we within the UKSHA/Verein Hirschmann have been taught and we look forward to see how Thekla develops and performs as she grows.

A very special hound imported into the UK again to further UKSHA's common goals with the Verein Hirschmann,KBGS and ISHV.

Wayne,I am sure will add a few photos.
I have seen a few crackers already
