I have submitted a complaint to the BBC about his 'offensive' comments - it is not only Cp who has his head where the sun dont shine, sadly I really do want to support the BBC but not at any price.

What an a--hole ,4 years ago my dad died of this hideous disease in less than 12 weeks ,both my grans and several aunts and uncles have passed in the grip of this evil and he king bum wipe demands the money goes to animals not humans .I watched as my sisters husband lived and died in an oxygen tent for 3 months and chris Prikham says stop wasting moneyon cancer. I have been home a week now post surgery for bone cancer. Thank you everyone everywhere who gave anything to make this possible. Believe me I have had it easy with no chemotherapy. The NHS, and the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham in particular have been amazing. I am not an especially emotional guy but this guy using his position gained by the BBC that I pay into to propagate this shameful statement and stirred up a range of feelings. Our lives are just that, ours and its a damn precious thing. Shame on you Chris Packam, you have a very privileged occupation that comes with responsibilities and an ethical code. At the end of the day you are in the entertainment industry, if you want to be a politician stand for election.

One of my best friends lost his young (and very beautiful) wife to this horrible disease, leaving him to care for 3 young children (one was just a baby) alone.
Another friend lost his wife just 2 months after their wedding - she was only poorly for a week!

My sister also suffered, but survived, thank God. It was a tough time.

I'm all in favour of supporting environmental issues, and have my own personal views about the relative importance of human life in the general scheme of things, but the attitude of this guy is a hideous offense to all families and sufferers. He should be made to apologise and shut up.
