Any idea where I can get one of these game baskets in UK?

A local smiddy is probably your best bet as I've never seen anything like that in the UK. Probably be best to design it around a good carcass/plasterers tray. I can help if you need design input.

Check out Amazon for basket-rack, £139
or if you have the design for fixing it to tow bar I could make you one a lot cheaper

Thanks gents - and for the offer of help with design!

I think I'm on the right trail now. Looks like a 100kg working limit, but seems a good option. Thinking of replacing the motor and this might just open up some more options.

To be fair it is a crap picture with no detail........

As Rory says you need to work backwards with it, depending what wagon you have then I would load up the arse end with what sort of weight you expect to hang off the back and see where the vehicle sits.

All the recovery trucks I have built we used to load up the axle and see how they sat, fine with a mini, but put a Volvo estate on the bed.!!

You only want to build it once..

get a spare gooseneck if detachable and get one welded up for much less and likely be stronger

weight limit is often less than 100kg
mine is allegedly 80kg!!!

have news for them..
a 750kg single axle trailer loaded badly is a shed load more than 75kg vertical load!

I have one. I think if you google game transporter the UK supplier will come up. Heck pack or something similar.

The sportsman gun centre have also been selling their own version recently.

You can get the clamp only from heckpac or the full monty and then you make up your own tray otherwise maybe someone going to the Dortmund show in Feb can bring one back for you.

I got my second one ( first one from bush ware was tooooo small). JMS arms ( Julian ) in Sussex, really well made and you can get the nylon insert which also acts as a drag and a cover

I have carried two good sized fallow does with ease in mine and it's faultless

if you can't find his number let me know and I'll pm it
cheers

The picture is illustrating the fact that a friend has scored on the drive, not to be intended as a design help, actually Garry filled one of those more than once, you need to get with the program re details & subject of posts.

Never realized you was the second in command to his posts! When is says "Where can I get one like that"

Which is a wire basket with a tub in it!

If you want a wire basket with a plastic liner then go to Tesco's

As you have all the answers get the mig out.....then it will be right all round...:scared:
