Cracking incentive. I wouldn't normally go as it's a fair distance, but I'll certainly consider making the trip when I don't have to pay for entry.

Well done, BASC, for the offer.
However, I shall not be attending, it's much too far to drive from Swansea - must be the best part of 200 miles, if not more. Last year's was also much too far and, similarly, I had no inclination for such a long drive.
Please find a location which is somewhat more central so that those of us who live in other parts of the country can have the opportunity of attending.

Surely complaints about the location should be sent to the organisers of the Fair. It isn't a BASC run show!!

David.

Excellent News, and a tremendous bonus for BASC members... or at least for those who haven't squirrelled themselves away in unspoiled parts of the country!

not bashing BASC but a text was sent this morning and no reply as of yet

dont forget the inherent unreliability of text messages, they often arrive after a long delay or not at all, as below courtesy of wikipedia-

SMS message delivery is not guaranteed, and many implementations provide no mechanism through which a sender can determine whether an SMS message has been delivered in a timely manner. SMS messages are generally treated as lower-priority traffic than voice, and various studies have shown that around 1% to 5% of messages are lost entirely, even during normal operation conditions, and others may not be delivered until long after their relevance has passed. The use of SMS as an emergency notification service in particular has been questioned
