Sako Finnfire P94S mag for under a fiver?

Very nice work, Spandit!

The guys in my office have got 3D printers and are making models of offshore tools and also drone chassis' that are pretty impressive.

I was contemplating modelling and getting a Sako 75 magazine made but not sure if it will be sturdy enough.

Thank you! Just managed to squeeze 10 rounds into the 10 shot magazine which is good news. Haven't tried shooting it yet. Didn't try fettling it this time - there was enough flex in the plastic to get the rounds in. The orange gets dirty quite quickly in the workshop and plain white is likely to be worse.

Don't know about the Sako magazine - was going to get some made for my RWS Titan 3 in .223 - especially as I can't see them for sale anywhere (and they're likely to be really expensive). Doesn't need a huge amount of strength - just enough to hold the spring tension but larger parts can get pretty expensive - still cheaper than an off-the-shelf magazine, though

RWS Titan magazine will cost about £20 without the spring and pin. Once I've seen how well these rimfire mags perform I might experiment in centrefire but the springs are quite complex to make.

Got 28 magazines requested so far... a few more to respond

They look really good Richard, praying you work out how to manufacture an Anschutz 1517 mag.

Praying these ones work as advertised! The Anschutz one should be fairly similar to the Weihrauch one I've modelled - the issue is the spring. I'm open to the idea of modelling more in the future but let's see how this turns out as I'm currently up to several hundred pounds of orders that I don't want to have to refund! Typical cost for the Anschutz mag would be about £12 I think but I'd need one in my hands in order to measure it accurately.

Not sure about everyone else, but if this doesn't work there is no way I will be asking for a refund.

Aye , I've got to say he has put a lot of effort/time in for everyone else's gain !! I am sure people on here will greatly appreciate it .

Very kind of you! I don't seen why they wouldn't work - the prototypes did and the newer ones should be better

Let's hope so. I've run group buys in the past and there's normally someone who complains. I don't think I'd be able to retire by running a magazine printing business - beginning to see why factory mags are so expensive!

Out of interest, has anyone put an order in for a small amount that might want more if they work well? Just wondering if I need to start getting another order together

Hi All,

I know Spanders quite well. Don't let him kid you; he gets some seriously perverted kicks from playing with CAD programs and bits of metal. Having said that, despite his depraved activities he's a thoroughly nice chap (if a bit bonkers) and he isn't making a penny. The last group buy he did on a forum I think he actually lost money but didn't bother to tell anyone!!

Nonsense, bought a Learjet last time around. Who are you anyway and what have you done with the widu13 I know, who would never compliment me?

Sorry I haven't had time to read the whole thread, are the Sako Finnfire P94 mags ready?

No, not yet. They're being printed as we speak, which can take hours. Next they have to go in for polishing, which refines the surface finish a bit. Then they have to be sent to me. I have to dye them, make the springs and the pins and assemble them, then package and send them out. Were you after some as you're not on the order? With enough interest I can do another order

I received my two ten shot mags today. They are excellent quality, feel solid in the hand and in attractive matt black.:-D They feed well and I've had no problems cycling them. Thanks spandit for your hard work and I must say your communication and e-mail updates on the progress of the magazines was first class

Hurrah! My work was not entirely in vain (have had a few issues which I'm trying to sort out).

I've submitted an order for some prototypes of a modified design - have extended the 10 round mag slightly which should help with capacity. The top lips and follower have had quite a few changes too.
