scent shoes !

Looks like the jury is out and £100 is a lot of money
I train mine using blood to start them off as puppies every day to find there nitely feed then move them on to harder trails using a head on the end of a fishing rod so that there is not my sent
once they have got that down i lay trails using green gralloch and the fishing rod as most lost deer or runners are gut shot and dont leave a blood trail but normally have there guts hanging out

the reason i use scent shoes is so you put the feet of the same deer of the blood i am useing and that way your dog will learn to follow the scent of that animal from the shot site as when as the blood, leg shots are the ones in my veiw that go the furthest, should this happen with something like a fallow and it joins back up with the herd your dog needs to track it's scent and not just any, i am now training my young dogs with just feet and no blood and the best way is with scent shoes.

I am also using scent shoes for laying a trail for the dog to track. I bought these from here some time last year, forside | HIKE Translate the site to English.

Tony did you get your shoes from the same place via Kim?

If I was in the market for any now I would buy from Mark and Alison at HOME

I am after a new harness, I am just about to order a ''NIGGELOH DOG HARNESS'', these are great!
