Been forwarded this by friends of mine and as someone who genuinely believes some things are worth fighting for please sign the following petition and feel free to put on your social media to try to create more awareness to help save the Chapel - thanks.

Those who acknowledge the debt owed to the 'Few' by the many.

Hello to you all,

We started a 38 DEGREES PETITION only a few days ago, to protect the

BIGGIN HILL St GEORGE'S ROYAL AIR FORCE CHAPEL OF REMEMBRANCE.

As I write, the number of signatories has reached 5800! Please click on the

http link below to view the resolution and we hope you too feel compelled

to sign and support the campaign to 'protect' the Chapel from Bromley

Council's current plans. It is entirely safe to use the link and please take

the opportunity just after signing, to leave a comment at the top of the

page.

Attached to this email is a photo of the Vestry to be demolished and an image of the Supporters Club alternative design, which in

no way adversely affects the Chapel.

the attached pdf images (download to enlarge) are of of the Council's planned building.

Please forward to anyone you think will care about this iconic building.

Kindest regards from

Rita and David on behalf of the BIGGIN HILL CHAPEL ACTION GROUP

The London Borough of Bromley Council's current planning application necessitates demolition of the Grade II Listed Vestry

The proposed changes make the building look like part of a Nazi death camp. Awful.

Thanks to all for your input. Quite agree, the design proposed by the supporters group was great, in keeping and kept the listed chapel. Bromley council paid 000,s presumably taxpayers money for some idiot to design something truly hideous - what muppets! Spread the word please gents - if you can get it onto social media we might just have a chance of getting this stopped before its too late. ...

Signed, typical council not wanting to use approved plans,,,,lets spend lots more money getting yet more plans drawn up that will cost a lot more build, and will inconvienence a lot more people, that way everyone will thing we are doing a good job, the people this was intended for had a simple plan, we wait at the ready, and we go fight when the alarm sounds, and it worked for all of us, bourgh council,,,,,Please take note
