My New Tikka T3X Super Varmint

Not sure if you mean "it is easy" or "is it easy?" but if it is the latter, then the answer is yes. Mine is set at the minimum allowable on the factory trigger which on mine is spot on 2lb.
Yes thanks it was the latter .predictive spelling ,2lbsounds ideal .Thanks ACJ.

If your dpt or any overbarrel moderator is marking your barrel your bushing is too tight.
A properly fitted rear bushing shouldn't touch the barrel when the mod is fitted.

+1 The bushing is made from Nylon and is easily cut/sized in a lathe

If it's a Tikka Varmint barrel, just unscrew the DPT thread protector and screw the moderator on the barrel. There won't be much left of it if you try to cut a big enough hole in it.

I've always enjoyed a nice tight fitting bush screwed around my barrel... but I guess post screwing marks on the barrel are not to be encouraged though ;)

Er, seriously, not too worried about marks on the rifles, they are tools... try mounting one on a quad in mid winter and spending 8 hours in the mud getting to and from where the animals are... guaranteed to be a bit grubby and scuffed after that. The main consideration is keeping crap out of the muzzle and action, off the scope, blood off the metal in the case of blued rifles.

Have any of you fellas seen these? Very nice. My T3 .308's polymer bottom "metal" is warped from taking it on and off over the years, as the laminate has compressed slightly, now the rear action screw goes in too far. So a minor repair is required, plus addition of a proper bottom metal.

There is 10 thou of clearance between the T3(X) barrel and the body of my DPT over-barrel moderator. Cutting a hole in the bush/thread protector will mean there is less than 50 thou left, including the thread.
