First .270 ...

I have a Bergara B14 Timber in 270, cant fault the rifle. As has been said, based around a remmy 700 action but improved, very smooth, 24" tube and shoots 1/2" groups with my home loads at 100 yards. It also likes Norma 150gr factory if you want something a bit heavier and don't reload.

What do you mean by the same? I thought that Winchester barrels were made in Portugal, not Spain?
The Model 70 is made in Portugal. So is the XPR line.
But some parts may still be made by FN in Columbia, SC or in Herstal, Belgium.

When the Model 70 was still being made in Columbia, they were sourcing some barrels from Begara in Georgia. The FN facility is primarily a military arms factory which makes the 5.56 and 7.62 light machineguns, and has made the M16 and M2 .50 BMG. Before the New Haven, CT factory was closed, FN had a Winchester factory about 10 miles from their factory, between Columbia and Blythewood, which made barrels and other components for their pump and autoloading shotguns for New Haven.

You can still find some brand new Tikka T3s for about £750.
Far better rifle than any that you mentioned.
I have a mate who is on his third one having shot out the previous two killing thousands of deer.
