The Dreaded DpD Delivery Company

We used to supply DPD as both their main hubs are local, their efficiency is phenominal, security ridiculously tight and as an aside, their conveyor sorting system is a sight to behold  But like all companies, drivers are drivers and once out of the depot who knows what they get up to.

I too have had nothing but good experiences with DPD. I havent had to call them to sort anything out though. I am sure despite the numerous positive reviews of any company there will always be someone who doesn't receive the service they expect.

I had a horrendous experience with a completely innept set of people from citilink before they went bust. Not sure if this was as a result of their imminent demise or an example of the service which was endemic in the company and was the reason they went under.

Think it depends on the driver. they have been very good until recently. on two occasions now we have been given a time slot. waited around. tracked the van. and then received a text sorry we missed you. OH I DONT THINK SO. On the phone and the depot say that the driver called and left a card and took a photo of our door. Well the photo was probably of his dash board for the colour gray and texture of the blur. They then suggested we took a two hour round trip to pick the parcel up from the depot.
Needless to say they got a rocket and lo and behold first thing next morning my parcel arrives

DPD will only deliver when it suits them or if they are in the area where we live in Ireland. Irish postal service is absolutely top at least as long as they are responsible. UPS also works but is very expensive.

DPD here are good it is always delivered when the time slot says, worst of the lot seem to be Yodel, several times have had messages saying tried to deliver but no one in, check our CCTV footage, no sign of the van at all.

DPD are decent and consistent here. Yodel not so much and the latest to take the loser box is APC Overnight, they are off the knock and leggit variety.

Ordered an item from TAC Light which is a very helpful company which unfortunately uses DpD to deliver its goods , once again messed around by DPD not bothering to read the delivery notes from TAC Light , of course DpD do not
answer its phones for at least 20mins in the hope you will go away but being bloody minded I managed to speak to them & complained oh silly me of course I was given a fresh delivery date being today but did it arrive of course not.
My simple message is never never deal with any company using DpD. Suppliers kindly take note have spent over 8k on various bits & bobs in the last 18 months but will never again deal with any supplier using The Dreaded DpD
delivery company.
Postman Pat:stir:

dpd have been ok with my deliveries ,the other shower parcelfarce are crap .the postman left me a card this morning at 11.00 i know because i took the post from him! in my post was a card saying called at 10.35 this morning with a parcel but as you were not in ??????? it has been taken to the post office.i rang them and got told they will redeliver in upto 3 days and as it has to be collected from the post office by the parcel farce driver i must pay an extra £1 for it! this shower of ***** never even came to the house the post mAN dropped my my you were out card and i sat and watch him come to the door! not a parcel farce van in sight.i explained this to the dolly on the phone and see said we are a different company so that must be untrue.bunch of c*nts

Parcels to go took from 31st of May until today from Gloucester to Devon. Must have been horse and cart !!!!!!!!

They also tried to rip me off twice. They insisted the carrier they used said the parcels were over weight, and in fact they were well under weight. They said they paid an excess and I owed them, whilst this was going on they tried it on another consignment. Never used them again or paid.

Rod,

DPD do not use any other carrier. They are effectively DHL domestic, same group. German Post owned. They employ all their own drivers.

Had many DPD deliveries and never an issue. Received items from Uttings/DPD yesterday on time within 1 hour time slot, kept me up to date many times on delivery from 24hr beforehand. Much better than the rest IMO

DPD local is ****e, they have managed to loose a 3kg wheel at their hub in Brum!

This is the first issue I’ve had with them mind, also had to stick 2 barrels into parcel farse yesterday.

Must be something in the water

parcel farce ,i booked an automated redeliver and it said parcel farce would redeliver today.nothing came and i deliberately stayed in all day, wanted to ask the f*k wit why he did not deliver it yesterday, now getting SLIGHTLY peed off.
