Fully Digital Deer Stalking

Have an Alpex lite on my Munty/Fox rifle. First/last light capability beats my Swaro 8x50 or Meopta R2. Even with its reduced sensor size. The original Alpex 50 I had was even better.

I'm a recreational stalker so prefer using glass as part of the experience of the trip out........but when previously asked to remove a number of Muntjac on a permission, used the Alpex.

That experience, makes me think that if I had to shoot professionally with quotas for stuff like Fallow, I suspect it would be a very sensible choice to use digital exclusively.....would increase opportunities to get stuff on the floor surely?

First and last light it definitely gives you 10-15 mins of additional shootable light regardless of the quality of glass so can increase chances. I suppose the issue with herd species is that they will just come out later or go in earlier

I just change from a Pulsar C50 and IRlightbuilds torch on my Tikka T3 to a Zulus 5-20 v2 and shaved over a kilo in weight!
