Im sure our war dead, and their family's would not agree.
As for taking pets on holiday, you chose to have a pet, which until recently meant you stayed at home, or put them in kennels etc.
I have no hankering to take part in a foreign driven hunt, along with the majority of shooters in this country.
As for an uproar over a referendum to curtail shooting opportunities here in the Uk, not much chance of that is there, fewer people hunt than used
to target shoot, and we all know how much difference the marches made.
You live in a dreamland if you think the majority care about your shooting or holidaying with your dog, more than they care about regaining our
country's freedom from the eu.
Neil.
Freedom from something within which our government agreed too and voted in support of 98.3% of its directives?
Freedom in so far as if we leave, we will have to abide by all their rules old and new in order to continue free trade with our biggest trading partner?
Freedom in so far as we used to have equal say with France Italy and Germany in the direction the EU moved at a capped 29 votes each
Freedom in so far as we are no longer free to live and work in any EU country
Freedom in so far as we will suffer restrictions in our EU travel for any reason, added delays more paperwork greater cost
Freedom in so far as we have to spend billions of tax payers money to renegotiate the world wide trade deals we currently enjoy under the umbrella of the EU
Freedom to watch chaos descend on Ireland and a push to reunification of Sothern and Northern Ireland and no doubt troubles will follow.
Freedom to watch Scotland pushing for independence and re-joining the EU setting up a trade border within the UK
And what will we gain?
The Right to change All EU regulations into UK laws that comply with the EU regulations past present and future
Import duties and delays which are expected to increase our end user purchase costs by 12-15%
The loss of investment which would have used the UK as a hub for selling across Europe
A predicted drop in our GDP whilst the rest of the EU is rising?
Inflation resulting in interest rate rises resulting in repossessions and a property market crash which will in turn result in more repossessions and negative equity traps.
"Im sure our war dead, and their family's would not agree."
The EU is exactly what our war dead faught for. IMHO We have betrayed them
Winston Churchill 1945 Talking at the first Meeting of the European Council he helped set up
‘Hard as it is to say now.. I look forward to a United States of Europe, in which the barriers between the nations will be greatly minimised and unrestricted travel will be possible.’
‘We cannot aim at anything less than the Union of Europe as a whole, and we look forward with confidence to the day when that Union will be achieved.’
‘We are reunited here, in this new Assembly, not as representatives of our several countries or various political parties, but as Europeans forging ahead, hand in hand, and if necessary elbow to elbow, to restore the former glories of Europe..
‘There is no reason for us not to succeed in achieving our goal and laying the foundation of a United Europe. A Europe whose moral design will win the respect and acknowledgement of all humanity, and whose physical strength will be such that no person will dare to disturb it as it marches peacefully towards the future.’
