“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”

Peter Shore? Yeah, right! As it's video posting day on this thread...here's one about Peter Shore's Britain. Enjoy. 'Cos it certainly bloody well wasn't enjoyable, for taxpayers, living through it then!

ok i'll try and simplify it , do you want the uk to stay in the eu or leave the eu ?
At present ,in my opinion, our best option is that we cancel article 50. we should take advantage of the trading platform and power that we have in the worlds largest economy , take advantage of the awareness that the UK Population now has on how important our individual voting rights are in the EU elections, and the UK elections; and make Britain a Great Britain again.
We can always leave when we have shipping companies that actually have ships and and industry that can put shipping containers full of our products on their decks.
At present we are a service based economy and We need to be more than that with no trade deals in place under WTO rules.
Kindest regards, Olaf

Olaf, the amount of countries in the eu who are now daggers drawn with brussels gets longer and longer, and the uk is due to leave. What does brussels do ? Does it reform ? Does it try to placate peoples fears ? Does it address worries about mass immigration ? No, it carries on regardless with the "ever closer union" mantra, a super state with the hun's in the driving seat.

I seen an interview with old scruffy Geldof, he was asked about brexit and who did he blame for it. Did he say it was Farage or Camerons fault ? No he blamed brussels fairly and squarely. They had the power to stop this in its tracks by taking into account the British peoples worries and fears. They chose not to.

Absolutely mate, fine words. If you believe in those values then you should be rejecting the Jacob Reece smog mentality with absolute and total conviction.

He is stuck back in the 60's............................................ the 1860's. Anyhoo i have a healthy disrespect for anyone who enters any parliament, anywhere.

Yes, you underline my opinion. We need to put our political views on seats in the EU . There is a movement for change at present, and we can benefit on many many fronts.
Kindest regards, Olaf

if only we were leaving without a deal, as I voted for,
And that is where you were lied to in 2016 by Cameroon mate. Here in the UK we have a democratically elected leadership that is subject to parliaments voting, and so it isn’t that simple. Parliament acts on behalf of the country’s opinion. Our country is divided- largely due to lies and more lies- so.....
Kindest regards, Olaf

We have been entangled in Europe for nearly 50 years and it's only got worse. We don't stand a chance, the more countries join, the more our influence diminishes. It's like Alan Sugar joining the Civil Service and trying to cut down on waste. The B******s just grind you down.

Then your either:

Independently wealthy and will benefit from disaster capitalism

or B

Haven't got a clue about the ramifications of a no deel Brexit

lf you'r personally in your world, insulated from the fall out (but frankly I doubt it) then lucky you. I have friends in the property game who are getting very excited about the expected property melt down. They will make millions ( a few more than they already have) but the job losses, repossessions, bankruptcies and increase in cost of living will hurt many millions of every day hard working fellow countrymen, and if you have no pause at that point, then you have a vision of the presumed benefits of leaving I have as yet failed to comprehend from 1000s of hours of research and discussion with people at the highest levels of international finance.

Tell us in your own words, what is the suffering of millions going to gain you?

Just do a list of the top 5 gains you expect and lets check them off in a few years time to see if ANY of them were achieved.

Personally I believe the chances are very slim, but I have never wished to be proved wrong more than I do right now.

I'll say it again. I didn't expect to 'gain' anything. I wanted to avoid us being sucked into the UESR that the Brussels bureaucrats are aiming for.

We very much do stand a chance mate. More so than ever if we remain members. Our 2016 referendum was a lethal statement to the Eu that reform is needed. Why walk away from the fruits of our efforts when we can really lead change and fill the coffers for the best of all ?

Germany 29 votes France 29 Votes Italy 29 Votes

UK 29 votes?

How is our power eroded?

2014 Germay agrees to new voting protocol where any 3 of the big four can pass a ote. EXCEPT a three that includes Germany so Germany + 2 of the big four CAN NOT pass a vote but the UK+ france + Itialy CAN pass a vote against the wishes of Germany

2015 Cameron gets agreement from the EU that the UK will not be part of or forced to participate in future integration of the other member states

To July 2016 the UK had supported and voted in favour of (without objection) 98.3% of all EU directives

So basically WTF are you taking about

If we leave then you get the USSUK instead mate.
