Anybody seen the papers regarding the guy on Safari sneaking up to the sleeping Lion and shooting it. I think it doesn't look good. just my view.

Got to agree looks very poor, can’t believe that some are dumb enough to post things online. Looks like the media are after the (hunter’s) name and will ruin his life for him if they can.

Grotesque yes. But this (unless I’m greatly mistaken) is an old video; I remember seeing it a good couple of years ago and feeling similarly disgusted, however, this has been raked up for what? Why now? Nothing else to be horrified about?

thanks just watched it, ive got to differ from the group here, it was a poor shot and a bad idea to post but surely killing an unaware animal is about as humane as you can get? is it really that bad?

As you say, the intent was good; just poorly executed.

Haven't seen the video and would rather not but assuming the beast is not in a Park pen what makes this unacceptable? My most enjoyable, exhilarating and memorable stalk was belly crawling along a ridge for some 100 yards towards a slumbering vixen and putting her to sleep for eternity with a well-placed 22lr in the back of the head. She didn't even quiver.
