At least he was found so his family could lay him to rest, he was 79 years old and still hunting in the mountains.

Personally , I'm in favour of the large carnivore option myself . When I'm to old to hack it , a suitably annoyed Grizzly will do just fine . If all I leave to this world is a couple of buttons and a chunk of insulated plaid shirt in a pile of bears sh!t , that'll be OK with me .

Oi ! thats the best fox stuffing i'v ever seen for sale on the SD ,and I **** myself every time I see it so its my little ray of sunshine :rofl: i'd hate to bugger off in a rest home or hospital bed smelling of crap and pis? ,the work I do I see our old folks and hero's of yesteryear just fading into the past its horrid thing happen .
 
I guess having a painless end has something going for it. Not sure being used as a rag doll by a grizzly will achieve that. Anyway, I'm going to live forever, as the song says....
 
You never know when your time is up.
Many years ago I had a premonition that I would be killed by lightning strike. It was so strong that I believe it absolutely.
However, at the end of last week I was diagnosed with an irreversible degenerative condition.
I just hope that the lightning gets me first!

Thats some shitty news you've just recieved. I hope you keep well for many years to come. You can always go out in a thunder storm holding aloft a carbon fiber fish rod and tempt fate a little.
I'me past my three score years and ten so every day is a bonus day. I hope i go out like the old chap in the OP .

Can one snuff it from wetting oneself because Paul o’ if you don’t change your avatar l could snuff it in a pool of pee !!!
 
Been awful close on many occasions when younger, but managed to dodge it or get in first. Broken most bones including back and a couple of serious ills.
Now in late 70's still getting out and watching young friends do the long stalks, death doesn't bother me too much so long as it's reasonably quick.
