For Sale: ******OCTOBER FLASH SALE****** Lowa Hunter GTX Evo Extreme Boots

Hi All

Quick note to let you know that we have now gone VAT registered, so VAT claim back on boots may be useful to some of you, or if your estate employers buy your essential work-wear etc.

The forum supported rate of £232.95 inc deliver still applies on Lowa Hunters.

Many thanks

Rob

Had a pair around a year now, been wearing around 8 months since Harkila gave up again. Very comfiortable, very good support, easier than many to get on and off. Dont love the lace loops as very difficult to engage haunched up in full kit at 03:30 in the morning, end up missing loops etc. A little more solid sole under foot with less flex than the Harkila, overall an excellent boot.

Not long before some folk will be looking to invest in new boots for the wet/winter season, so Lowa Hunter pricing still unchanged, also for the shorter ankle length option Lowa Tibet's have sold well this year..

Thanks

Rob

Well September was certainly the month of Tibet sales - thanks to all that purchased, Sept' was our best month over on Tibet's and even the wholesaler had zero stock on many popular sizes.

So back to the "Hunter GTX" for October focus.

Rob, how do these compare to the Tibet’s? Just got back from my week in them and very impressed, will post about them separately.

Hi All

Some news (not great...) that will effect our & the market pricing on Lowa boots going forward...

Basically Lowa's European head office have implemented a new pricing directive in the fact that they want to see more level pricing on-line between UK distributors - think it is fair to say that our pricing had been very competitive compared to some outlets in the market - subsequently over the last 2yrs we have probably sold more Hunter's & Tibets than any other Sporting retailer - many of you on the forum have obviously benefited from our pricing position.

As of today our website pricing has increased on the Hunter & Tibet models - over the next 2 weeks other distributors that are not already "in-line" with Lowa guideline pricing will have to increase their pricing, or loose their distribution agreement.

An important point for us to make is that we will still be able to support forum members going forward but will need to discuss "matters" on a more personal level - so please pm or call us directly on the numbers listed on our site.

Thanks for your support.

Regards

Rob & Jess

Are these a good boot? I'm currently wearing alpina boots and tbh I'm not that impressed with them only 6 months old and are more like 2 years old and can't hack the work I throw at them, was thinking of going back to good old miendl but someone told me to have a look at the lowa boots. What your opinion and do they do a high ankle boot minus the primaloft?

Hi Watson1

I'm obviously biased, we have sold an awful lot of these over the last 4yrs and they are the only boot I wear (having tried most well known brands over the last 25yrs) on a year round basis.

They are warm in winter due to the Primaloft, however I have no problem wearing them in summer as do the guys in my syndicate.

Lowa also do the Tibet Hi which is same height as the Hunter and doesn't have the Primaloft layer - we can access these if required.

Regards

Rob

Does anyone who has these think they are too warm for summer months before I buy them? Have Meindle’s but also started to leak

I wear short bhutans for summer regularly soaking them in dubbin.my biggest problem is the soles wear out before they start to leak .wanted higher boots for hill work.

Yes I like high boots for the hill that’s why I was looking at the lowa ones was just concerned they might be too warm with the insulation thanks mark
