T3 why do folk like them?

I used a Tikka T3 last time I got a deer in NZ.
It was JAG Just Another Gun.
Made no impression on me whatsoever.
A tool.
I don't know if that is good or bad.

Price, esp second hand. My 223 was obtained for £400 incl moderator. Needed another mag as spring had gone - probably why it was traded in. Some people know very little.

very accurate, more than enough for deer. Light. Decent but not spectacular trigger.

the t3 lite stock is the worst part- no cheekpiece, and not quite long enough, but it does what it needs to. I dont really care if mud and blood get on the stock whencarrying an animal out.

If I were to change one thing, it would be to go to three lug bolt not two. It would reduce bolt lift.

Most people using them love them. If you dont-sell it and buy what you think you need.
The original post just sounds like a whinge.

I agree I’m whinging about a rifle. One that could be better with a a few simple changes.
I think you have very valid points. Having to put the safety catch off before being able to open the bolt would be like having a car where you have to take your foot off the brake before you can put the hand brake on

Is it possible to have the safety altered ? Safety catch is the only thing I don’t like about my tikka super varmint

I had an ASH three position safety on one of my T3's and actually asking Andreas for another. They are great. Only thing is that it should be fitted by someone who understands how they function. Basically like a Mauser safety the firing pin get's pulled back a tiny bit when going on safe. Reason is that if the trigger is pulled in the safe position and let go again the trigger can return to the original position. This must be adjusted or checked.
