Help A-ATEC thread loctite drama

I used a soldering iron to soften blue Loctite that I had foolishly used on screws that held a dovetail onto my T4. If you can't get enough heat into the adaptor with a soldering iron then you could perhaps submerge end of the barrel in a saucepan of boiling water?

tried all of the above with atec eventually ,said a lot of swear words that would shame a liverpool docker and gave up still use it but it can sulk like me i,m not even going to clean the========= thing anymore.

Not carried this out on a Rifle Mod situation but in the workshop many times including Red
Use Aerosol brake cleaner but not all brake cleaners work! look for a chlorinated high strength formula, that will soften it to a workable state, the solvent is thin enough to work between locker and thread, once you’ve loosened it up, then apply more solvent, you may need to work back and forth depending on how much thread locker has been applied.
Other solvents that can be used, trichloroethylene, toluene, and ethylene dichloride also MEK if you have any military mates?
Oh and make sure you are in the fresh air
Not sure what it will do to the finish on the items mentioned
Good luck

And DO NOT APPLY HEAT after applying brake cleaner, as the fumes CAN KILL YOU..

I had an A-TEC H2 + A-lock mini on order with Jackson Rifle, but reading the fitting instructions online, i have canceled the a-lock and went for the conventional screw-on moderator...
Reading this, now i'm glad i did.

by the time you wrap the belt around the mod' you will have a hand full of the belt around the socket? but you get the idea

Have gone through the posts on here, no one has mentioned the possibility of using an impact to release it (rotational impact force).

Assuming you have some sort of workshop, you will need the action removed from the stock and held very securely in a vise, will absolutely everything removed (trigger, floor plate, scope, mounts, bolt).

It would be even better if you had an action wrench as the following might have a very remote yet possible chance of actually loosening your barrel from the action if you are not careful.

Most important thing will be getting some form of lever which has a very firm grip on the attachment, if it slips at all then it is useless.

Say a really good firm grip on it with a set of mole grips (should be considered expendable as you are about to smack them very hard).

Now get a 15lb sledgehammer or something slightly smaller if you doubt your accuracy and strike the mole grips with a very hard, fast, accurate single blow (ensuring that you have it oriented correctly to loosen and not tighten).

If the mole-grips detach then it is unlikely to be worth trying again, but if they rotate very slightly you may be in business.

If you are very imaginative I would say adapt a manual impact driver (not an electric drill) which could give you around 90Nm of release action.

Try immersing it in a bucket of ice. When sufficiently cooled apply your heat to the adapter only. Expansion relative to cold barrel should prove more useful than heating alone.
