Good used pair Zeiss Jena jenoptem 8/30 sub £100, far better glass, and value for money, if you can find a pair of 7/50 even better. Or any s/h from the better makers within your budget. If in doubt, compare side by side with the alternatives.

Vortex definitely, after service is amazing to (I've been through a warranty repair) no problems to deal with, great company and great optics
Another +1 fir the Vortex. Don’t think you’ll match the glass at the same price without going second hand and with the warranty (and whilst Vortex are still trading) he’s got them for life.

Minox have always been considered excellent glass for the money Worth a look as a comparison to the Vortex.
Vortex without a doubt good glass far better than you would expect comparable with glass costing much more plus a

Try to get the opportunity to look through both side by side, you'll soon see why I favour the Zeiss Jena over the Vortex.
A great warranty is indeed great, but doesn't find deer, the quality and clarity of lenses and coating is the thing that matters. In the event that the Zeiss glasses take a knock and go out of collimation, it's a straightforward relatively inexpensive repair, but this is by far a secondary consideration, the strap is for keeping them round your neck when in use on all; performance is uppermost in my mind when I choose, personally speaking.

I’ve just got a second hand pair of vortex diamond back for an emergency truck set of bins I case I leave my rangefinders at home or they break as happened two years ago on a stalking outing and I had no second pair in the truck. Now I have. All my glass is Swarovski and now these diamondback bins. I rate them for the money to be honest.
You can keep your Zeiss stuff. It used to be very good no it not that brilliant with a non existent warranty.

Another vote for Minox or Zeiss Jena
I have and found very little difference, also don't care for porro prism binos
Have had the chance to compare Vortex against some top end glass and while the top end glass might be slightly
better it is not four or five times better
Now if someone was to me a give me a pair of Zeiss or Swaro's which to my eyes are better than Zeiss I would
happily accept and use them .
But if buying I am perfectly happy using Vortex and wouldn't consider anything else , i am not a name snob, if they are good enough for me
as a pro. They should be good enough for a recreational stalker.

I did buy some swaro slc for about 400 last year ( 7x42 ) they are amazing in low light

I picked up some Leupold BX-1 McKenzie 10x50 from Uttings in the sale for around 200. Lifetime warranty and very impressive. Would be interested to see them side by side with some Vortex.
Defiantly vortex wether on a budget or not this is a quality brand and comparable to the bigger names now. The advantage to make up for the small differences is the big price differences.
