Zeiss duralyt/conquest dl

I am after a Zeiss duralyt 2-8x42 illuminated. Its proving to be difficult tracking one down in the UK. Might be the opportunity to get hold of a conquest dl from over the water. Should I hold out for the older duralyt in the hope I can find one or go for the ever so slightly newer model?

Any particular reason why it should be the Duralyth? If I wanted a scope with this data and quality level I'd get a new Steiner Ranger 2-8x42 (SFP).
If you want better quality it would be the 1.5-8x42 Schmidt & Bender Stratos (FFP).
Both have the advantage of not having a deformed ocular like the Duralyth.

Morning Rider,

Thanks for your reply! Only reason really is that I already have a duralyt 3-12x50 on one of my rifles , which I quite like. I will have a look at your suggestions though.

Thanks.

I have a duralyt 2 - 8 on my 223. Sorry it isn't for sale but it is a nice scope on a walk around rifle. They are not easy to find though. If you are ever in my part of the world you could look through it to see what you think.

Best of luck,

David.

Morning David

Thank you for your reply and the offer!
I will continue to lookout for one.
