Have an example or name?Don’t use the adhesive Camo tape, it will mark in time. The best stuff is elasticated and clings to itself leaving no marks whatsoever. From China on the bay costs just a couple of quid.

Vet wrap is brilliant and cheap, and once wrapped becomes a rubberised impact reducing bit of kit.
I use a vortex cover like this for when rifles are in the cabinet but was looking for something for field use.
Good point. I think it does depend on situation. Hill / lots of walking etc but wooded where an opp may just appear then it’s another faff (on top of scope mag, dialling in, checking wind on your kestrel etc.I’m just lazy - I tend to leave the Scopecoat on when I’m stalking.
The Scopecoat comes off when I raise the rifle onto the sticks.

Aren't most scopes made from aircraft grade aluminium these days???Beware rust under any tape that is left in place, be it cloth or plastic, I've just had cause to remove the realtree wrap I had on my 'scope (2yrs?) only to find traces of rust and damage to the blueing- which is notably absent from the rifle metalwork which is not wrapped.
I think so, but this is a Meopta steel tube ZD. Bomb proof, not rust proof.Aren't most scopes made from aircraft grade aluminium these days???![]()
