Oldest bit of kit you still regularly use

Here you are.
I am fortunate to have one of the wallets but I don’t use it! The leather was cured in urine and dressed with Birch oil. The reason it didn’t rot was because it was buried in mud. The leather was cured in St.Petersburg. Each bundle had a lead customs seal depicting the Russian imperial eagle. Off thread but an interesting subject.

I still use the shotgun cartridge belt that I bought back in 1984 when I got my shotgun license I was 15!! .
It still fits ok as well and Iit still has a few notches too spare😜

My brain,

One good knee, a knackered back, a fixed broken neck and a bladder that does not empty properly anymore,

Bob.

Tikka M55 bought in the late 70s, still used regularly. Tikka M65 bought early 80s used these days for gong/target shooting. Leitz Trinovid 8 x 40 BA binoculars bought late 70s and are still my go to bins even though I have some Swarovski ELs.

Still using army socks that are 30 years old, and have probably another 5 years left in them.
Thorlo hiking socks are also the other option.
My DPM smock from 30 years ago still gets out regularly too.

My day to day engraving tools were given to my dad over 70 years ago when he first started out. They were "hand-me-down" to my dad's tradesman. They still cut steel beautifully...

I have a roesack made by Donald Wright in Huntly, still on my back nearly every time I head out. It was bought when I was in my early twenties which makes it nearly forty years old, its had a few replacement liners over the years but the linen roe sack is still in good condition considering its age and the abuse its been subjected to.

A claw hammer I got from my dad and he had from his, reground the face and it’s as good as new.
Used it for humane dispatch once.

My grandfather’s bag from his battle order webbing that he carried through the North Africa campaign and on to Salerno

My two Hardy made Orvis CFO reels from 1972-74

The float fishing rod that I was given for my 9th birthday...
