Oldest bit of kit you are still using

Discounting things that were old when I bought/was given them (i.e. most of my gear) it is the Brady Sandringham game-bag I bought from Richards in Liverpool in '84 or '85. I have a Gamefair and a Solway Zipper jacket bought about the same time, which although much mended still see active service occasionally.

Oh forgot my air rifles a customised 1970s BSA Airsporter in mint condition and a 1939 BSA Lincoln Jefferies
In well.used but still in working condition purchased at auction by my brother some years ago ex RAF used
to shoot feral pigeons in aircraft hangers during war time.
Oh and I still have a pair of hill shoes bought in the 1960s been retacketed a few times not worn much these days
but still get an outing now and again on fair weather Grouse days.

a braided leather rifle sling i bought in the early 80s its been used on every rifle i have owned ,a yeoman i bought new in 86 , an olt fox call from the early 80s and an old optonix black eye lamp for spotting and a smaller gun mounted blue eye

Lots of old stuff still floating around.....sold my 1910 Woodward SLE a couple of years ago - mistake . Still have a 1903 butterknife Mannlicher with a 7x57 barrel and the rotary mag - she gets a run out regularly. Really, my most used piece of kit is an early Kershaw knife which I've had for 40 years+ and is still the go-to blade.

Ditto the Tikka , mine is an M65 , heavy fluted Bofors barrel.
Ditto ditto the Tikka. Only ever bought 2 rifles from new, so this is "in with the new, stick with the old". Bought the .243 M55 in '82 and only ever used it as a second rifle, hence the condition. Fitted it with the Z6i last year and it's now the spring/summer roe rifle.

The old Tikka is what a sporting rifle should look like!

Would be my Sako AI .222 from the late 1970s. Unfortunately the cocking piece on the end of the firing pin snapped last Thursday. Fortunately Beretta Aus had a complete firing pin assembly in stock! It's winging its way to me now.

Cheers

Paul Webley hammer gun with Purdey thumb-hole opening mechanism. Built between 1870 & 1885. It's been sleeved & Teagued & it still gets taken for the odd day at the pheasants & still wins clay completion for me if I'm on form.

My 1979 Heym-Ruger falling block and its gun slip. Both done thousands of outings. The gun slip made by, Quality gun slips went back to them for a refurd a few years ago and still has plenty of life in it. A pair of Optolyth 9x63 Royal binos that must be 40 years old that now spend their retirement on my office desk so i can watch the deer out the back of the house. Not forgetting my $9 dollar Imperial Eagle knife i bought in the USA in 1978. That little knife has done a lot of deer.
