Cervellati recoil pads.

Judging by the photographs on their website they appear to be in widespread use and used as standard factory fittings by a few manufacturers.

We have been using them for over ten years. Microcell versions are really light weight and great for the ultra light hunting rifle. They absorb recoil extremely well. best being the 32mm version. There is a downside.... the lighter the compound the quicker the rubber perishes. The light versions are not up to heavy hill hunting when the rifle is used as a walking stick in difficult situations. Over the years we have replaced many of these recoil pads and since a few years back we have Cervellati custom make a compound for us that lasts longer even if slightly heavier.
For our Mil spec stocks we would fit Cervellati solid rubber pads which are bullet proof, also the E-Lite Heym OEM for the US market get the solid rubber version, not microcell.
I still think for target shooters and the Alpine hunter the Microcell is a good solution. Choose the denser version if possible.
I have the PSE custom Microcell version as well as solid rubber on my stocks. Both seem to hold up well so far.

The Microcells are out. I rather like the old style as below.

I think that pad would be perfect. if it is big enough for your stock. You will need to grind to fit. Angle grinder with flap disk will do if you are good.... buy a few pads as it takes a bit to master the grinding.
