Royal Fail . . . .

Ordered a new printer paid for overnight delivery £11.40 with a tracker number on the thursday to arrive on Friday, didnt turn up rang the supplier, they said it had been delayed will be there monday monday turns up nothing Tues, wed, phoned them again thurs nothing friday nothing phoned them oh it's in dartford , turns out the tracker finally tells me where it is dartford, phoned them up again to say it is know definitely in dartford, the reply yep it's there but they cant find it
Turns out the parcel got squashed at dartford, the company are investigating it when that's done they will send out a replacement :british: 1 week later 3 weeks late it arrived no mention of the rebate on the postage despite 2 E mails
Ya gotta know when yer beat

one of mine ,well two actually fac/sgc went walkabout a few yrs ago only going inside manchester somehow ended up in ireland where it is by now an irish citizen, absolute joke our postal service .
I think all mail lost by Royal ends up in N Ireland for some reason.
Ken.

'Special Delivery, Guaranteed Next Day by 1pm'?

My arse. I sent my FAC off to an RFD on the 29th (against my better judgement, I may add!) To ensure it got there safely I paid a Kings ransom in postage of £6.70. A full 7 days later it STILL hasn't been delivered, and the tracking information hasn't even been updated. So my FAC with my personal details, address, and details of the firearms I possess is now floating about in the ether, waiting for some knucklehead mouth breather to get his finger out and do his job.

Am I alone in thinking this is utterly appalling service? No wonder Royal Mail don't have a contact number to allow you to speak directly with a human.

This is exactly why I consider the practice of posting your FAC all over the country to be a ridiculous idea. I'm fuming

I'd get refunded the cost & request uts whereabouts. Your reciept is your proof of contract

just to say the Parcel I sent out yesterday arrived at its destination this morning without any problem, sad though as it was one of the best knives i ever had, and a shame to let it go, but it shows Royal Mail aint all bad, ( speaking as a ex sub-postmaster)

Bought a job lot of boat bits (shackles etc) on ebay - seller sent immediately and Hermes confirmed "in transit" - no further progress until tracking revealed "package damaged beyond repair" - seller refunded but I imagine the contents became a good Christmas present for someone in the organisation !! - Parcel Post and Royal Mail not the only ones !

Glad it worked for you. Still no sign of my FAC at the dealer, no sign of a response from RM, and no sign of my temper easing off anytime soon . . . .

No point losing sleep over it, I'd phone the licensing department and let them know.

If the 'old' FAC turns up before the 'new' one either shred it or send it back to the licensing department.

Yep, I'll give them a call tomorrow. Am I right in thinking a replacement is only £4?

Bloody typical.

I called Police Scotland this morning, having accepted that my FAC was probably lost. Paid the £4, emailed to ask for a replacement, and barely two hours later the RFD calls me to say it's dropped through the mat :banghead::banghead::banghead:

You have to laugh

Bloody typical.

If you want to see the best deer of the season, put your rifle down and open up a flask of hot soup.

If you want to see a fantastic Trout, hand your rod to your mate for "one second" whilst you look for the next fly - he will be on before you have turned your back.

If you want to see an AA recovery van when you are broken down on the hard shoulder - just check your membership card to see that it expired last week.

If you want that really good bit of reloading kit, go on line and order it - then check SD to find someone wanting to "give it away" to anyone that needs it.

The Gods are cruel...

Did you ring back to cancel?
