Had astra zenica one monday no sore arm or probs, the kicker came tuesday someone at work proved positive so now we all have to isolate for ten days ,

I had to isolate recently because the wife tested positive. Fortunately, my red wine prophylactic policy seems to have worked, as I had two tests, both negative, while we were isolating together. Can't work out the transmission pattern of this disease.......

Had my jab at 10:00 this morning. (Pfizer)
No adverse or after effects 9 hours later. Can't even feel where they put the needle in.
I guess that compared to a few others who had reactions I am lucky!

Had mine at 10am also but the astrazeneca version. Like you no issues to date so fingers crossed.
Had mine at 2:30 no issues so far.

A friend’s wife (77) had hers (Him too) nearly 4 weeks ago.
Just short of 2 weeks ago she was taken to hospital with high blood pressure caused by Parkinson’s meds.
Little over a week in there and assessed to come home in another couple of days, so, in the interim they put her in a “Safe Ward”, only the woman they placed her next to to test positive for Covid, and so then did friend wife.
Couple days ago they shipped her out to a local care home where she is in an isolation ward until at least 21st Feb; when she will be assessed again to see if she can go home, or they may want to position her somewhere else!
Good thing is, she’d had the Vaccine or I think with all her other health issues this could easily have proved fatal for her.
My friend is 81 and has early onset Alzheimer’s, no children and nearest family live in Scotland, we near Manc.
He can’t understand where his wife of 60 years is and keeps repeating that he thinks she’s gone shopping and will be back any minute now.
Even their African Grey has gone off his food.
Social services go in 4 x 20 mins each day and I do what I can to help.
At least he still knows who I am.

No vaccine for me for some time yet as at 37 I’m rightly at the bottom of the list.
My 93 year old Nan had her jab a month ago, thankfully too as she had a fall at home yesterday and is now in hospital. Seems she has pneumonia and fainted hence the fall. Fingers crossed that AZ’s finest does it’s thing for her.

67 and got pfizered in Blairgowrie this am....all good so far!

And then it got worse.
Daughter in Law works as PA to consultant at same hospital as Harry’s wife went in and as such has to be tested twice weekly.
Yesterday she tested pos. so her Husband (Works in welding) got tested as pos. and also one of their daughters (17) pos.
Only symptoms are like having a cold so isolating at home.

I'm recently 70 and the wife and I got Pfizered at P&J Live in Aberdeen this morning
Great set up - drive in underground parking, plenty friendly and helpful staff, everything explained clearly by the female squaddie doing the injection.
Both Pfizer and Astra Zeneca available, although Pfizer seemed to be the preference unless certain medications or pre-existing medical conditions were declared.
I have to say that I'm really impressed both at how well this mass vaccination is going nationally and at how high the take up appears to be

Getting my jab Wednesday, hope I don’t have the same reaction the missus had last week after her vaccine.
Based on your profile, you are in priority Group 6, and there are between 2,828,130 and 9,514,190 people in front of you in the queue for a first dose of COVID vaccine across the UK.
Given a vaccination rate of 3,064,276 a week and an uptake of 70.6%, you should expect to receive your first dose of vaccine between 26/02/2021 and 28/03/2021.
