So who has had their covid vaccination yet

Had my first AstraZeneca one last week, fell a bit "hangy" for 24 hours then back to normal, the boss is an essential worker so she's due her second Pfizer one in a few days - she didn't have any problems with hers. Glad to see the rollout going well, shame that our European friends haven't got up to speed yet as this might slow down any overseas travel for a while yet.

Sound advice on booking direct ,we were early but went straight in due to "no show idiots"
The anti jab Facebook pillocks should be made to do a month on a covid ward .
And see this is very real ,I know I've lost family and friends to this biological weapon the Chinese released on the world.

Pfizer 8 weeks ago. Only sore arm for two days. Wife had AstraZeneca and had a bit of flu like symptoms for 48hrs.
seems younger you are the more reaction to the AstraZeneca you might have on the first dose and have heard of people having more reaction on the second dose if Pfizer.
This just shows it’s working and is stimulating your immune system.
wife is heavily involved in the delivery of the vaccination and says that often at the end of clinics they are a few doses over and will ring people to get in as they do not want to waste them. If you have missed your slot it is always worth ringing to see if they have any spare slots at end of day.

good to see so many getting vaccinated.

Yes had mine a fortnight ago ,sore arm that's all. Also keep getting letters from NHS saying I am extremely vulnerable and have to work from home ,also tell my boss I can't go to work . The Boss my wife just laughed .

Hi.
I notice some are receiving Pfizer and others the AstraZeneca. Is it just a matter of which is available at the time?

Probably, I had mine 2 weeks ago AstraZeneca, My wife got hers 3 days ago at the same vaccination centre Pfizer

Yes ,our doctors told us when they rang to say come on down they dont know which 1 till its delivered on the day .They said sorry cant tell you what your getting till we stick it in <charming > .So luck of the draw im guessing

They have already pushed back the second jab from 3 weeks to three months. Now with the AZ giving 90% with only one dose I can see the second one being rolled over to coincide with the 2022 flu jab

Had mine last Tuesday,Pfizer at staffs county show ground. 23 mins including the 15 min sit down. Very slick. Had flu like symptoms for 36 hours after aches and pains bit shivery. Tho anything’s got to be better than COVID! They did make a little comment about being on warfarin and increased chance of bruising and side effects.

Not due to have mine for a while yet but very interesting to hear that the majority of people had no real after effects except "Hoof Burner" who said he was on warfarin. I had heard reports that lots of people in Germany were off I'll after they had theirs and were really bigging up the side effects of the AstraZeneca (Oxford) one. Does make you wonder?

I was off ill from work for 1 day following my AZ Covid jab.

Had the jab last Sunday and thought nothing of it until
I woke in the middle of the night with a fever (shivering uncontrollably and sweating at the same time). Woke the Monday morning with a severe headache which persisted until the evening. This left me feeling a bit under the weather generally for a day or 2.

Not much looking forward to the second dose but hoping it will not be a a bad for me.

Had mine 3 weeks ago now due to an underlying condition.

No side effects other than knowing I'd had a needle in my arm & certainly no worse than a clumsy blood test.

Glad to have had it done as I'm working all over the country just now & travelling a lot.

I had the Oxford AZ on the 10. Feb and slept a couple of extra hours and woke up in a bit of a sweat the next morning...but no other attributable symptoms after that.

Alan

Just had it this morning. Didn’t wait for a letter or anything, my wife booked us both in on the NHS website and immediately given a local appointment and a follow up in may. Neither of us are old farts nor vulnerable, but clearly there are sufficient stocks in kent to accommodate individuals.
