Good morning gents
Having sold one of my 7mms to the bro in law I found myself with a spare slot , fancying another .270 I had a look on guntrader and bought this ..... 60 years old bsa monarch deluxe still in original case for £125 barely used , just sorting out scope options and I think I’m going to leave it unmoderated, there’s still bargains to be had 😁

Bloody hell, did the seller owe you a favour or something?

The BSA's are cult rifles in Canada and NZ, the right person would probably pay £1,250 for that.

Speaks volumes that they are undervalued in Britain... you can just about get a bipod and sling for £125, not that you will need one for this!

If you have it screw cut for a moderator, I'll block you

When I was living in Canada they were very sought after ! Ha ha no danger of that I’ve just bought some naughty lead 130 gr ppu for £17 a box to try 😁

I walked through the BSA stocking shop most days in 1965-6 on my way to get stuff for the BSA training centre. They knew what they were doing back then.
My neighbour has a modern .270 something or other with a laminated thumbhole 1300 Euro custom stock that he added on as an upgrade, he dropped it last week and the stock has come apart, he is well p1ssed. He dropped a 40kg ueberlaufer last night with it that ran on 120 metres afterwards so the scope mounts seem to have survived the drop. .270 is the bottom limit for boar IMO.

I do hope that maybe this thread shows possibly to folk starting on their stalking journey that you don’t need the latest super expensive kit , don’t get me wrong I’ve done nice stuff myself but my sako won’t kill anything deader than this old girl , for years I had an old Parker hale amd a Brno zzk and killed a lot of deer and foxes etc with them

Well you won't be getting any endorsement money or sponsorship deals with that attitude

Keeping it real!

I would have paid that for the case.~Muir

You think you have problems?? I have convinced so many people to start reloading that I am "dis-invited" to dinner by housewives all across the US. I have stopped getting the hate mail as of late. I must be slowing down....~Muir
I’m the same with asking people to question wether they need courses 🙄 doesn’t make you popular , just honest
