Just a thank you from Admin/site owners to all the members of this site. This morning we achieved the total of 25,000 members on this site. Its a long way since we bought the site some 12 years ago (roughly). At the time there were only about 700 members and the site was about to collapse.
Purchasing the site was something I had never intended on doing, but I am glad I did, along with John, joined a little later by Alex, who I must say has worked hard to maintain the sites running and any IT issues. My grateful thanks to him.

There are many on here that have made good friendships with others, people have offered help to those less fortunate, money has been raised for charities. People have even given rifles away to help get a novice on the deer stalking ladder, and I know many of you have taken others out for free to get them on their first deer. Thank you one and all for your support, and to those that have become firm and lasting friends of mine. You know who you are :), some of you now guide for me.

Once again thankyou from all the 3 site owners, and I wish all of you a great Roe Buck season, keep safe and well.

What was the actual start date of the SD Malc?? Did it exist before you guys bought it?

just curious...great forum, and the only one I am a member of now. 👍🏻

Being reality new tot he site 4 yrs I had no idea the history.

This is a fantastic forum, and one we all should be proud of.

No it was already up and running when we bought it. It was a nightmare buying it as there were two owners, but we were told only one! Took some sorting out with a solicitor and cheques being returned etc, but we got there in the end. I think at the time it had been running for a couple of years, but hardly anyone knew about it. Seems a lifetime ago now, to be honest.
 
quality site with quality people sums it up for me! there has been no shortage of knowledge shared and multiple instances of generosity that had long seemed devoid in other walks of life.

Congrats to you all. I've found like minded folks on here, folks to argue with, interesting writing, educational pieces, things to buy, and opportunities to sell stuff - it's my daily read!

Yes' Thank you admin for holding it together to blossom as it has! My go to, so often keeps me glued for hours, when I say to myself, just Classified' this time? only to check Whats new' Write ups' and follow up on previous contributions and not to forget to read any Jokes and funnies. A good forum for me having increased my equipment and all sorts of must haves with no issues thus far? THANK YOU' ALL!

I would imagine a lot of people had 'humps' in the lockdown!

I do remember the old site and, given the headcount, it was a lot less active with a worryingly narrow opinion set. Must admit though, never heard a word about Blasers or 6.5 Creedmoor lol.
