G'day all, If anyone in the world can help me it is the people on this site (many have in my last concern). I have a Parker Hale A29 mount with unknown rail on my PH Custom No4 and the PH rings don't fit. Can someone identify the unmarked rail? Thanks, BrucePH rail-04.webpPH rail-02.webpPH rail-03.webpPH rail-05.webp

Frankly, I'd ditch it.

As @LeftHandGuy says, it looks like someone's Bubba/bodge job at mounting a Weaver rail onto a pre-existing parker hale base.

As with any 'gunsmithing', glue and screw works fine, until it doesn't!

Unfortunately, it looks like you have a receiver which does not have the same dimensions as a 'standard' Enfield Mk4, otherwise I'd say take a look at these guys: Lee-Enfield NDT (No Drill-Tap) Scope Mount for No4 and No5 G2

Still be bloody ugly though!

Along with your Parker Hale A29 mount you should have the Parker Hale BA-24 scope rail, if you remove the rail that’s already on your mount there should be only two holes in your mount they are the holes that you screw the BA-24 scope rail to. Then your scope rings should fit.

Before l post my reply take a look at photo above.....they are correct........thanks Klenchblaize.

But don't forget once you have the correct and somewhat sleeker rail you don't have to use the clunky PH rings:

The Daptar bases will snug-up super-securely compared with a PH ring but as you can see quality does not come cheap.

Slightly different solution, this time on a PH No1 Custom. Not original and not elegant but does the job and accepts a greater range of mounts.

With regards to my earlier post.....not quite sure I’ve given you the correct part number.......make sure you do your homework to find the correct part for your base.

At that price I'd run Picatinny and Spuhr.

The ability to guarantee your scope won't be crimped and reticle is level is invaluable.
